Dominica News Online (DNO) can confirm that a shooting incident occurred on Kennedy Avenue in Roseau earlier this evening.
According to a DNO reporter who was in the area at the time of the incident, a male individual was shot and wounded in the face.
DNO has also received information about the identity of the person who was shot but we have decided to withhold that information pending confirmation by the police.
Our reporter said that the police were at the scene of the crime when he left the area over an hour ago.
Ezron Roberts of Grand Bay was fatally shot in the same area in Roseau on August 8, 2018.
Hendricks Peters of Roseau was arrested and charged for the crime.
Vigilante justice is in session. There is no justice. It’s kill and be killed. This Skerrit led government is incompetent and ill-suited to run the country.
This is just the begining
Don’t get me wrong, I love my country and use to say it blessed even if all of us not really rich. But now some people have really big money and I believe the country cursed. That makes me so sad I can’t explain it, it hurts too much.
Install cctv cameras around d town. It’s not that expensive and difficult to do.
Long live montin . An eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth. Jungle justice is what we knw.
The last time someone was shot on Kennedy Ave. I recall the victim was carried away on a white flatbed truck. Again I see another white flatbed truck on the scene. Is that supposed to be the emergency vehicle/ambulance or is it a mere coincidence?
It is called a meat wagon.
This pic is the same one you know. It’s from last year.
It is my hope that the victim will make a complete recovery to good health. These shootings are becoming too frequent. Both the police and civil society have to work together to try to get these illicit guns and ammunition off the streets. Having guns in the hands of these rogues is like a box of matches in the hands of a toddler. Much more needs to be done to plug the importation of these deadly weapons into the country. Despite these shootings, Dominica is still a relatively peaceful place compared with many of her counterparts. It is imperative that we stop these shooting incidents in the bud.
The guns aren’t the problem, the people using them are. Rounding up guns is rather pointless because people who want to get their hands on a gun will.
By reading the news item at first, I thought ezron came back to life and was shot again. Anyway Dice was right; blood on the streets.
I dont see the need of adding the past incident to this, you’ll trying to make a saga an conspiracy to add up things in ppl head. Get it right. And why use that picture under this article ?
ADMIN: Thank you for your feedback. The relevance is the two shootings occurring in almost the same place separated by a few months. What exactly is your issue with the picture?
DNO, some people talk because they have something to say, others because they want to say something. Accept them for what they are, nuisances. No response needed! On your journey, you cannot stop to deal with every barking dog. You will be late of never reach your destination.
Well that’s what lack of good paying jobs do…
So how they buying the guns?
