St Kitts-Nevis Prime Minister sends congratulations to Dominica PM

DouglasBASSETERRE, St Kitts, CMC – Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas has told his Dominican counterpart, Roosevelt Skerrit that citizens in his country have expressed tremendous confidence in his leadership following his convincing victory in the general elections on Friday.

“Indeed there is no doubt that the people of your beloved country, that you have had the honour to lead since assuming the position of Head of Government, have reposed the confidence in you to take them through yet another term,” Douglas said in a congratulatory message to Skerrit, whose Dominica Labour Party (DLP) won 18 of the 21 seats at stake in the election.

“ Under your able leadership they have weathered the difficult years of economic decline and sense, with optimistic anticipation, the hope of a more promising and hopeful future of improved social and economic development,”” said Douglas, who is himself preparing for a general election that political observers say is likely to be held in January next year.

“On behalf of the Government of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, I extend heartfelt congratulations to you and the entire the Labour Party Administration for your resounding victory at the polls,” he added.

Douglas said he was also giving the re-elected Dominican leader the assurance that St. Kitts and Nevis would “work collaboratively to strengthen our bilateral and regional relations”.

SHELLI i am so tempted to put u in place with that level of gabbage u talking but i will hold back because now not time to be divided but to put our diferences aside and to join with the pm SKERRIT and the rest of the team to build DOMINICA and move to the next level. skerrit is dominica prime minister and not labour prime minister. america and obama has verry good relationship with china and chavez and most of chavez oil sells in the us and is the us dollar that financing chavez. we love and embrace daddy chavez, obama, china and any other country who wants to be our friend.
