UWP launches manifesto

Linton said the manifesto contains what Dominica has been yearning for

In spite of the cold and rainy weather, United Workers Party (UWP) supporters came out in their numbers to witness the much talked about launch of the party’s manifesto which outlines plans for the country if elected into office for the next five years.

The event took place at the Pottersville savannah on Wednesday evening.

Political leader of the UWP, Lennox Linton, said the manifesto is a reflection of what the country has been yearning for.

“In this document lies the future of your Dominica, the road map for the better Dominica, that we have been yearning for,” he said. “And yes we came here tonight to tell you as you will notice in the final page of the manifesto that better days are coming.”

According to him better days are coming because of the 5,000 jobs in three years, because there will be a return to income from banana and non- banana and agriculture, reduction of the Value Added Tax (VAT) on hotel operations, 100 percent increase in the destination marketing budget for tourism, an international airport, a high speed ferry service, a state of the art yacht marina in Portsmouth, island wide town and village enhancements and a high end eco-tourism resort in the Kalinago Territory.

The removal of VAT on essential foods and a reduced cost of living, removal of VAT on raw and packaging materials to boost the manufacturing output, removal of taxes on construction materials to stimulate the housing sector, 500 low cost houses in 1,500 days, a new state of the art national hospital, upgraded and modernized hospitals for Portsmouth and Marigot, salary increases for public servants and the reimbursement of the 5 percent that was taken during the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) days of austerity are also among the plans.

In addition, world class senior care centers at strategic locations around the country, reduction of the cabinet from 16 to 10 ministers, fixed election date every five years, term limit of two consecutive terms for any one serving in the office of prime minister, are also on the cards for the UWP.

“Better days are coming with your UWP Team Dominica as your government for December 9th 2014, your symbol is the saw, fear no more,” Linton said.

Meantime he said there are typographical errors in some of the manifestos.

“Some of these manifestos have three candidates with the caption Roseau North. But the others are being corrected. It’s a little typographical error. They are making a big song and dance about it because they recognize that this is a superior document to what they have,” he said, referring to the DLP.

Workers think Kalinagos are foolish people? You all never had the interest of Kalinagos at heart and certainly there was no plan to include the Kalinagos in your manifesto because there was none to release. It’s the pressure from your own supporters which caused the plagiarism and para phrasing of ideas from the DLP manifesto to quickly throw something together; now all of a sudden a high end resort is in the cards for the Kalinago Territory? Pa La!! All those plans for Dominica but tell me, HOW do you intend to bring that to fruition? WHERE are all these infrastructural projects going to be erected/placed? Do not play hoop saway with Dominicans. The cost of living is soaring worldwide and you want to tell Dominicans that you will decrease the cost of living for Dominicans? HOW? HOW? HOW? Tell us HOW? Aaalll A YOU NOT READY!

The reality is that if Labour win this time, they will do everything in their power to line their pockets before the next election, knowing that this would definitely be their last chance for a while. If you traditionally vote Labour and are a loyal supporter of Mr Skerritt (even though you are really supporting the Astaphans) nothing will change your mind and you will support your favorite team. However, if you honestly care about your country and care about it having a viable future, you will opt for a new government. This is about your children’s future and you would be unwise to allow it to be stolen from them.

I was willing to give UWP a chance but so long DLP release their manifesto and only now, days before the election, UWP saying what they going to do. That shows that they were not prepared. I supported them the last three elections but not this time! I’m giving the DLP my vote because they are really getting things done and if it is not broken why fix it?

What a joke, that launch turned out to be a snack…everybody left hungry, disappointed and empty handed…

I saw a movie last night and it remind me of the Journalist Lennox Linton and how he want to win.smH…One year in politics and he have solve an economic depression that is affecting the entire world..wow Lennox..wow..any back to the movie I search and found part of the speech the President said ”

This Movie Remind me of UWP CAMPAIGN, Skeritt should give this speech ( THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT ):

We have serious problems to solve, and we need serious people to solve them. And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you Lennox Linton is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things, and two things only: making you afraid of it, and telling you who’s to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections. You gather a group of middle age, middle class, middle income voters who remember with longing an easier time, and you talk to them about family, and Dominican values and character, and you wave an old photo of the Prime Minister Girl Friend(she is Hot by the way..lol) and you scream about patriotism. You tell them she’s to blame for their lot in life. And you go on television and you call her the wife of the devil 666.”

So here we have. As far as I am concerned no more excuses to vote Labour. We need to give the UWP a chance. We have nothing to lose, if they do not perform we can vote them out again in 5 years time. However, do we have the chance to vote Skerrit out in 5 years time? I do not think so! People be wise, do not gamble with your freedom.

Linton, errors in your manifesto are unacceptable. An error is an error and a big one for that matter. You cannot even produce a Manifesto which is free of errors.
The Number One outlook: Errors project incompetence.
For instance, if applying for a job and there are errors on the resume, once they are observed, the applicant is immediately flunked. No chance of even getting an interview much more for being employed.
A political candidate and a leader of a Party for that matter should ensure that prior to putting out this Manifesto, it should be free of whatever type of errors. There is no excuse for that.
You acknowledged the errors. By stating that there are errors and they could simply be rectified, what do you take Dominicans for? Little uneducated people of no consequence who will laugh with you, cast the errors aside and say no matter? This is a grave error on your part!
You want to be the Dominican Leader? Oh boy! Dominicans beware!

On several occasions, I have asked Skeritt to leave the political mapuis and lies to his surrogates. With only two weeks to go, let Linton be. Every time he tries to criticize Linton, it would appear he pushes his big red shoe further into his mouth. Lie number one, Skeritt said the UWP Team Dominica will not be producing a manifesto, a manifesto was launched on Wednesday 26th. Lie number two, Skeritt said, the manifesto is financed by New Zealand Colonizers and it will be launched on November 23rd, the manifesto was launched on Wednesday 26th November. Lie number three, on Tuesday 25th, he told Dominicans he had a copy, but he did not disclosed a typographical error on the manifesto until the night of November 26th. Can you imagine Skeriit allowing an error to pass him by, the day before the launching. Lie number four, he said the public servants were paid the 5% which were taken away from their salaries. General Secretary of the PSU agreed with Mr. Linton that the public servants were never paid. Skeritt should concentrate on his plans and programs and forget Mr. Lennox Linton.

500 Low income homes in 1500 days,,,,,,that idea was taken from the Antigua Labour Party MAnifesto where they promised 500 homes in 500 days. Manifesto promises are just what they are.. a bunch of gimmicks to fool the electorate as usual. when or if the uwp comes into power u will hear their excuses for not building those homes, excuses for not being able to lower the VAT, excuses for not being able to pay back the 5%. Their excuse will be that they inherited an empty treasury. believe me all politicians are the same and I will not vote for any.

How the hell did you think he was able to fund all what he was doing including the campaign that have you all stupidly screaming “LABAR KA TWAVAY” lol… you all really need to stop thinking like labourites for once and start thinking like Dominicans who love their country…. November 27, 2014

@citizen, when labour came into office in 2000, they met debt the country was broke, civil servants could not be paid on time, local merchants could not be paid for goods supplied to government, workers contribution to DSS was not paid. Simply put the country was in a financial hole and the Labour Party first under Roosevelt Douglas then Piere Charles followed by Roosevelt Skeritt had to stabilize the economy. Remember it was your party through reckless borrowing and spending that had brought Dominica to that crisis. The Labour party did not come into office in 2000 promising christmas toys for all. Now through the hard work of the Labour party there is now money in the treasury the UWP wants to come with all their pie in the sky promises to squander it and yes “LABAR KA TWAVAY” it is there for all to see.

    • Peeping Tom
      November 27, 2014

Yes, you seem genuinely confused about Skerrit’s success.

Skerrit has somethings that Linton will never have. It is these skills and attributes that have allowed him to triumph where many have failed, and where Linton can never walk. So, if you wish to be fooled by Linton’s empty and dizzying promises, by all means….be the fool.

How does a man beg to be Prime Minister and he cannot even raise money for his own party’s election campaign? How can such a man be expected to raise the billions necessary to fulfill his slate of promises? Be the fool if you wish but at least be a smart fool.

Citizen you not making any sense “where skeritt get” Skeritt came as Prime Minister so the money was already there, there allies was already there, there were already “friends of the program” willing to invest. Why? Because Labour campaign, team, Marketing , Leader runs an attractive unit. People want to be part of it, Big countries, Powers of the world want to be part of it. That is the difference my citizen, UWP campaign don’t attract anybody other than Dominicans that not working and want a reason to blame the government.

Or people that don’t really have a brain, uneducated and cannot see the opportunities that this government have. College, Education Programs, better more educational college more subjects. Your degree is more attractive to foreign schools since they take some of your credits.

UWP has no plan, all they have is “WORDS” and the words only sound like music to illiterate people.People that never go school and stay home in there garden or people that never go school and stay home and fish. People that never go school period. Don’t get me wrong I am not saying farmers/fishermen/etc are not educated people. I am just saying the uneducated ones is the ones that following that #teamdominica gimmick. Lennox Linton ” WE GOING TO BRING BACK AGRICULTURE, FISHING, RESORTS, MARINERS, INCREASE SALARIES, TAKE OUT VAT etc….smH..Lennot while you at it Bring back BOB MARLEY too and if you see 2PAC bring him to..

      November 28, 2014

You have written such nonsense regarding love of Country, God is in control and Mr Linton will prosper. You are fed so much foolishness as a result it shows by the questions you are asking. It is not about how much money Skerrit had when he came into office. When The UWP was driven out of office what was the financial state of The Country inherited by the coalition Government. You acceptance to digest crap fed to you by The UWP created a veil of ignorance preventing you from understanding the difference between how The UWP got it’s funding for capital projects and how The DLP under Skerrit was able to get funding for capital projects. One method bankrupted The Country in five 5 yrs resulting in them being ousted from power, they choose to borrow money from financial institutions at high interest rates, While PM Skerrit used a different approach, he made alliances and friendships with governments getting grants and concessionary loans, such measures got Dominica out of IMF austerity measures and the financial mess the UWP left behind.

Wake up and think, stop digesting crap by The UWP with promises which cannot be
meet, so when people ask where is Linton going to get the money to fund these promises, that is a valid answer. When a Government promises to abolish or reduces it’s main source of income without telling you how they are going to make up for it to finance capital projects, and give workers increase and do all the things they promise, it shows irresponsibility. if anyone has to wake up and start thinking about their country is you.

After all, you have a team comprising, persons who have functioned as leaders in fourtune 500 company, an economist who has not only the accademics, but advised several governments around the world, on how to develop, grow, and maintain their economies, Industrial Engineers, City and Urban planning, and entrepreneur, Economists/Practicing Attorneys, Retired Senior Police Officers, Teachers, I mean the whole spectrum of the economy is represented in the team. I am hard pressed to find an evenly balanced team as this one anywhere today.
And do not forget available to this team is a vast pool of the best that Dominica can offer in Intellect, Experience, Skills, and talent.

I keep hearing a lot about where is the money coming from to fund UWP’s project……. Are you people aware that there is a Government’s recurring revenues to fund projects? Prime Minister Skerrit said in his budget address in June of 2014 that most of the funds/monies will come from Government’s recurring revenues for projects for the next year. All of a sudden that “recurring revenues” becomes thin in the air?? hmmm Aylas my people.

A vote for Skerit and the DLP is a vote for trouble, danger, disaster and communism. A vote for UWP on the other hand is a vote for the salvage of our pride as Dominicans and hope for the future. A leader that does not want you to bathe is a leader that will isolate you from people and the world! Contrary to what Skerrit told us to do, let’s all go to bed early on the election eve, pray to the only God we know without a pause as if to suggest there is another god (you realize Skerrit hesitated when he told old us to pray to our God? Listen to it again because he was not sure as to which god he wanted us to pray to), take a good bath and lets go vote out communism, corruption, and dictatorship.

@ Anon; the DLP decided on stabilization program because the DLP leader was a lazy and incompetent leader who decided that putting his hand in the IMF coiff was the easy way OUt, on how to generate growth of an economy. These men took the easy way OUT, so we caught hell. Now that modern day pirate DLP leader is still a lazy and incompetent leader. because he chose to grow an economy on donors and foreign aid. He rather push his hand in foreign pockets to get millions to run an economy than to put dominican people to work. Now that is where our economy is in shambles when people are not put to work to drive our main economic drivers such as agriculture ,tourism, manufacturing etc
Oh and DLP will leave the treasury Empty!!! So Anon ask the DLP where did their get their money to finance your campaign? The same way uwp will get money to finance their promises made to Dominicans .

i do not have the complete manifesto so i am only commenting base on what i have read in this news item. what presented sounds great but i have one major reservation. A reduction in building materials will definitely energize the housing sector. but all these concessions mentioned will sure decrease revenue generation if another consistent revenue generator is established and at the same time monthly expenditures are increasing through the increase in salaries ect. If not properly monitored this can be devastating on the economy. This is worrying to me as my main concern is the strength of our economy while the world economy is improving. I am just wondering in the quest to get into power if the UWP is biting of more than it can chew. Maybe when the full document is made available this might make some more sense.

With only a few weeks to go before the general election, the Skeritt led DLP has not been able to find a solution to stop the popularity of Mr. Lennox Linton. Skeritt has been, to a certain extent, responsible for causing Linton to be so popular as a politician. His obsession of Linton has become uncontrollable. However, that is not all, he is a great thinker, it is seen in the manner he organized and presented the UWP to the voters of Dominica. I believe the Party has reached a height of international standards. Regardless to your liking of this so called drop out from school, Marigot man, one must agree, he has truly given the UWP a sixty percent chance to winning the general election. On a one and one basis Lennox Linton will stuff Skerrit like a badly done turkey. Skerrit cannot think on his feet,he is obviously lacking intelligence and communication skills. Many years ago I recognize that Skerrit was shielded to hide his very many short comings-the stuttering, lack of eye contact, shallowness and little knowledge and experience. After 10 years I cannot say that there is significant improvement. I now see a man with a childish mind.An individual who has become too very wealthy overnight and is rattled by his anxiety.

        @Lessons,
“Skerrit came in without a dime, so where did he get the money from?” Let me tell you because it is no secret! Skerrit got money from the various countries with which he initiated foreign diplomatic relations such as China, Venezuela, Morrocco…. the same ones which Lennox Linton have been criticizing and criticizing and insulting, despite all the assistance that they have rendered to Dominica. While he’s busy criticizing and insulting them, the other Caribbean Prime Ministers have followed in the footsteps of Skerrit and developing foreign relations with these same countries in order to seek progress for their own country.
Lennox, on the other hand cannot say where his funds will be coming from. Do you think that if he were to be elected, he would still be able to approach these governments for assistance after he has criticized and insulted them so much? These people have ears, they can hear; they have eyes; they can see; their memory works; they do not suffer from Alzheimers, so NO THE MONEY WILL NOT COME BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT WANT TO HAVE FRIENDLY FOREIGN RELATIONS WITH LENNOX LINTON! His relatives who “have done well for themselves” according to him, certainly do not have sufficient funds to give him to run the country and that is a fact!

One problem………where are they going to get the money to do all of that? Let’s get back to reality. Give the farmers what they need to get going, fix these patch work roads, reduce the VAT, open the port and vastly reduce the tariffs that are charged, especially on construction materials and wood as well as auto parts, make it a free trade port for 6 months as a trial. As for the cost of vehicles coming in……..a new policy has to be written up because there are already too many vehicles just sitting on lots at a “price.” Nobody is buying them due t the price and the cost of getting a vehicle here is too high. Forget about the international airport……it costs too much and DA has too much debt already. Instead try to enlarge the Canefield airport to accommodate a few more planes. A ferry service to Puerto Rico would definitely be a plus if it could be pulled off. Reforrn of the justice and prison systems is also needed. However, the first priority should be transparency and how deeply in debt Dominica really is with all of the deals and contracts that have been previously made with other countries and entities. This needs to be disclosed to the public as a reality check.

VAT will still be there when Skerrit and his corrupt ministers are hanging out at…… Also to help VAT there will be a growing agricultural industry, better tourism industry and more people working so more money flowing. As a bonus ALLL the money SKERRIT STOLE will now be back in Dominica’s hands.

Fear no more…. there will be PLENTY MONEY and is not one set that will have all of it!

But any fool can see is a typo error because we ALL know they only have one candidate in Roseau North. What some FOOLs don’t get is the fact that the DLP still questioning whether or not their supporters can count because in their manifesto they have a lot of pages missing. Maybe is because they know DLP supporters don’t read and therefore a manifesto to them is just watching photos on an album.

A vote for Skerit and the DLP is a vote for trouble, danger, disaster and communism. A vote for UWP on the other hand is a vote for the salvage of our pride as Dominicans and hope for the future. A leader that does not want you to bathe is a leader that will isolate you from people and the world! Contrary to what Skerrit told us to do, let’s all go to bed early on the election eve and pray to the only God and Saviour (you realize Skerrit hesitated when he told old us to pray to our God? Listen to it again because he was not sure as to which god he wanted us to pray to), take a good bath and lets go vote out communism, corruption, necromancy, occult, dictatorship, thieves and vagabonds.

Well I myself needed no manifesto. You have articulated your plans for too long. No sane person can say otherwise. The labourites that were asking for it won’t read it since they haven’t even read theirs. They will just swallow what Skerrit say about it weather its truthful or not. Like kids they just look for the pictures to see who they know. On the other hand I think the PM will or have already read it in full, and he will be quoting from it his new promises the next time he hits the stage. Laborites please go with your UWP manifesto so you can read along.

Typographical errors he said. And his excuse is because it is a better document than what they have. Is Mr. Linton serious? Because most of us cannot speak as freely as he can and intelligently as he does (even when he is misrepresenting the truth (remember Simeon Albert’s question about the St. Kitts trip and the difficulty it posed to him to answer truthfully), he must no think that we are mules, unable to think for ourselves. In the world of publicationb, when such errors occur, the entire job is set aside and a new job commissioned or an addendum page or half page is prepared and attached to the publication. Mr. Linton, there are some among us (not only on your side) who can think and who knows about these things. So keep your fine speech to yourself.

@ happy printing errors do take place….this is some thing that happens. You are too petty talk about the issues. UWP did not want DLP to copy their Manifesto/ their plans for the future of Dominica.

The DLP is best at bridging people and demanding people to vote for them. If you as a government has been in power for 2 terms then why the bridging and sewoing and attacking UWP. The UWP does not have to dip into any gold mine in Marigot because as a government you make your own international friends. Who gives you grants, loans and funding. And lets hope that the DLP leave money in the treasury for the UWP to start work as soon as December 9th, 2014.

I must admit that I did not attend the UWP event at the Pottersville savannah last night. But the same is true, for the DLP, as I am yet any of the political parties’ events thus far. However, being the Independent minded person that I am, I did listened to the event and also watched it online and must admit, that for the very first time, I was impressed with the UWP’s presentation and general demeanor exhibited at that meeting. I was particularly, impressed with the point being driven home, that the manifesto was produced and printed locally. To me, that is a major selling point that should resonant with us. As I compare both parties, I look at “actions” vs. “lip-service”. From my viewpoint, I cannot have a party telling me at its political rallies and in it’s that it is interested in me and job creations, but at the same time, we are not good enough for them to produce and print their manifesto here. To me, something is wrong with that picture. I questioned the DLP’s honesty along those lines.

With that said, I do have one disappointment with the UWP, and the launching of their manifesto last night. Given, technology today why hasn’t the UWP made the manifesto available online or are they? I would like to see that document available online. I do have in my possession a hardcopy of the DLP manifesto and have completed my analysis of that document. However, to be fair to UWP I was awaiting their publication. It is paramount, as an Independent thinker that compared apples to oranges and because the document is not available online I have to wait until I am lucky enough to place my hand on a hardcopy. Nevertheless, all in all, this was an impressive presentation and keep up the good work for you may very well attract people like me to your side. Thank you!

How are they going to handle the Kingdom of Morroco seeing that they have already linked up with the Polisario? Are they going to return the Hotel and reimburse Morocco for the fertilizer. Let us not forget that Lennox and the UWP made many anti china statements when Dominica dropped Taiwan in favor of mainland China, as a matter of fact it was the UWP and its supporters that were waving the Taiwanese flags during the 2005 elections. The Chinese are not Stupid. So Lennox and the UWP has absolute no leverage in dealing with the Chinese to get anything more, perhaps less. Are they going to renegotiate the various MOU’S with China? Remember China is a communist country and is listening. The diplomatic war between China and Taiwan is over and they are getting on just fine, China would be happy if Dominica went back to Taiwan under a UWP administration. DAHMAN, your concerns are valid because when it comes to fruitfull relationship with China, Venezuela and the Kingdom of Morroco Lennox and the UWP have burnt their bridges.

Any party gets into power establishes links with other friendly governments. I can bet my last dollar that UWP will get more from China and Venezuela than Skerrit got. Not only that, the entire public will benefit and not only a special few. Mamo did it, UWP did it in their 4.5 years and this team can do it and do it even better. Lot of funds available out their to be tapped but they will not allow corrupt governments to touch it. Also the Chinese and Venezuelans getting tight on giving out cash to thieves and hooligans. Also DLP don’t have the mental capacity to see further than their nose so they only do for themselves while the others suffer. With the resources available out of DA I can tell you this team will transform DA for the better…..Dominicans will be amaze…I have already lend my negotiating skills to the investors who are watching close. We will make DA the best place to live, work and enjoy life. We heading for the best and to the top.

@4u2c, UWP can get more from China and Venezuela than Skeritt got, however they will have to adopt the same position Skeritt has adopted in dealing with these countries. No country is going to give assistance because your country is named Dominica. UWP has not yet adopted the One china policy, they will have to. The assistance Dominica got from Venezuela was mainly because of the personal relationship between Skeritt and Chavez, Skeritt was heavly rediculed by Lennox and others for that relationship. And what did Mamo and UWP get from Venezuela campared to what Skeritt got?

    • looking
      November 27, 2014

Gentleman or woman. You may have attended too many of the labour party rallies. Dominica has diplomatic relations with Venezuela and China and other countries. Not the DLP or the hon prime minister on a personal level. Even if Skerrit were to resign etc these relations will continue. All the benefits in the pipeline will continue as is happening in other Caribbean countries and the world. One of the recommendations i heard in the presentation of the manifesto that is excellent is the scaling down of the Cabinet. Its too large. The scaling down of the army of advisers that the Hon PM has its a burden to the tax payers of Dominica. But in general it was an excellent presentation.

    • Malgraysa
      November 28, 2014

Dahman, I understand your concern but believe me, you need not worry in that regard. Neither Venezuela nor China will have been sitting by idly and you can take it from me that they will already have tentative discussions with the opposition to make sure the transition will be smooth. Lennox |Linton and his team value these connections very much and will not jettison them out of the window. I can not relate to the future of our connections with Morocco but that is of far lesser concern, since that appears to be on a purely personal basis wit Roosevelt Skerrit and from my information he has some fences to mend with his alleged friend, the King of Morocco.

Mr Linton is clearly head and shoulders above all others, then Mr Joshua Francis, followed by the deputy party leader, Mr Claudius Sanford, then the Doctor Fontaine. I am not sure if it was nervousness or lack of familiarity with the contents of the manifesto but the others left much to be desired.

The Launch was replete with promises by every speaker and my problem is at what point does this diarrhoea of promises merge into a mere figment of one’s imagination. I did not get a good feel on how the UWP plans to raise the funds necessary for all the projects that they have promised.

Mr Lennox Linton was simply outstanding oratorically, I did not care much for his vocal abilities. The crowds serve as a frightening reminder to the DLP that this is in fact going to be a very close election and the scales may actually be tipping in the direction of the UWP.

The DLP have relied heavily on foreign artist for their crowds whilst the UWP has not. The UWP campaign is cleaner and seems more cerebral, though they have lost many an opportunity to make the DLP pay for their political blunders.

King Dice performance was world class; his composition, stage personality and stringing together of his lyrics are commendable. I believe with more exposure, King Dice could make Dominica proud.

In 2009 I voted DLP however in 2014 I am giving UWP a chance. Why? Because a vote for UWP is a vote for increased jobs, better quality of living, transparent and honest governance, honesty and integrity. I want to be proud to be a Dominican once more because I cannot fathom for the life of me if you assist someone why does the entire world have to be aware. Even if we malayway we have pride and our pride must be restored.

Under DLP we have seen increased poverty. High cost in the standard of living. A vote for UWP means that ALL children iregardless of sex, denomination , political affiliation will receive assistance as needed by our social services and not by a prime minister.

No Prime Minister will be given more than two terms, a fixed election date, a brand new hospital , an international airport. Agriculture will be revamped and I could go on and on change is a must. Thanks DLP for launching our manifesto it just shows that you guys are politically expired you lack innovation we as young persons will not be fooled again.

      @Wiser Now
You are not wiser at all. You just think you are but you are not. If you have a good thing going, you don’t stop it, you keep it going. America has policies re election that you have mentioned and because of that, look at what the foolish Bush presidency did to America and the world by extension, after Clifton left a surplus behind.
The higher cost of living is not a Dominica thing, its a worldwide thing and Skerrit is not to blame so go do some research and educate yourself. Make yourself wiser in the correct before coming to post foolishness online. Linton wanted to end NEP, Yes We Care Program and all else, if he really cared, he would not want to end it. All of a sudden, he wants to continue it. It is because he now sees the value and his supporters showed him these are necessary. Mr. is too short-sighted. He wants to talk about building an international airport now. Don’t you know that is was Edison James who prevented us from having a new international airport? The letter he wrote to stop the international airport from being built just before the 1995 elections is online, signed and sealed with his name for all to see. While he listened to the Prime Minister of St. Vincent that Dominica does not need an international airport, as soon as everything was halted, the PM of St. Vincent approached them same people and viola! St. Vincent has an international airport!!! Tebere to the bone!!1
