My PM with the state Dominica is in you are already out? Are you serious my PM? Isn’t Dr. Vince Henderson in NY, and is well able to represent you and convey the same message to world leaders? My PM, I know you Maria left you homeless too, though you have many places to turn to, but what about the thousands of Dominicans that do not know where to lay their head? My PM people can easily interpret this as abandonment and they would not be wrong. As a key supporter of yours, I lovingly say to you that this is wrong. I know fellow supporters will curse me out for this but I don’t care. IT IS WRONG FOR THE CAPTAIN TO ABANDON THE SHIP WHEN PASSENGERS ARE IN TURMOIL!

Question?? What would be the purpose of your PM staying in Dominica? With limited communication how would he get help for his country?

My prayers and blessings go out to the beautiful and strong people of Dominica. This is a plea to all those who have helicopter service to please help by going into the country villages to see if there are any survivors. Grand Bay I understand is demolished.

I am very worried because my family live in TeteMonte, Grand Bay and we have not heard from them. Please if anyone have any information about Leona Nicholas Luis, Clem Luis and her children, Lisa Luis, Jenny Nicholas — please post information. Thank you, Gloria Nicholas

Our Prayers and Thoughts are with Dominica.

    Thank you,
    Gemma

The world already knows about the help Dominica needs. The PM stated “Dominica needs all the help they can get from the world.” All TV and Radio Stations worldwide heard/read about it and broadcasted it to their listeners. The PM did a good job about that.
Last week the Canadian PM donated $150,000 to the Caribbean.
After Hurricane Maria in Dominica, the Ontario government gave $150,000 to Dominica. All on behalf of taxpayers. Other Canadian provinces will follow suit.
These donations will be channeled through the Red Cross. Of course, there will be individual donations and also from the various Dominican Associations worldwide. We Dominicans especially overseas are all happy to assist our beloved country.

Hopefully Mr. Skerrit has the chance to speak to major decision takers and not to some committee or an empty assembly. In these times it tells which countries are real friends, it also tells if international relations (main target has to be to get a bunch of nice friends) are alright or developing. Let´s hope the best.
The leader of your country should take the chance to address:
Most of the island – manmade structure and nature – is destroyed. Look at the photos/videos dripping in, that amount of lumber in every tiny ravine! A huge chunk of the forest is gone. The load of water had to be beyond everything anyone has ever seen. Maps show that Maria hit somewhere around Petit Soufriere and crossed near Belles all the way to Dublanc/Secret Bay south of Portsmouth. Watch out when the Kalinago and the ppl. down to Grand Bay can tell.
There is urgent need for further hurricane protection.

Beside infrastructure this means shelters and backup systems for vital community functions power/water/communication even in rural areas. It can`t be that most of the island is cut off from everything for 4 days and counting.
There is the need for some UN-fonds to conquer climate change in challenged countries in general. From lumber barriers up the rivers to landslide protection areas and local regulations. From protection against water masses to financing for changing building habits. Expertise, funding and execution is desperately needed.
Erica was just two years ago. After Irma it took Maria just two weeks to load up. The next cat. 5 is yet to come.

And Moshe Skerrit, remember to ask the UN about CERN, HAARP and why the USA,. Russia, the EU and China have weaponised the weather to create hurricanes such as Maria and Irma! Read and learn: https://www.1src.com/topic/haarp-and-cern–control-the-weather

Wait for it and perfect timing for him to bleat on and on about ‘man made’ climate change and that more should be done by the world to combat it.

All good you say, but bear in mind is that the UN is saying that it is US, MANKIND that is creating ‘climate change’. Therefore if it is us (as human activity and life is responsible for 100% of CO2 emissions),this means that the UN has a carte blanche to establish a world government to impose a regime upon humans that will ensure that they are removed from the earth. Isn’t that the will of satan??

Do not trust Skeritt, do NOT trust the UN. Trust Jesus Christ, or Lord and Saviour.

God speed! My daughter and her family live in Dominica. They fell in love with the country and the people. They live in the center of the country near Belles. I have had no news for Dr. William Courtney, his wife Kristen and their 3 daughters. I am praying that your trip to NY will let the world know of the desperate help you country needs. You are in my prayers.

    • Hi Janice have you heard anything about Kristen and Bill . I love them all so much . Tears have fallen so much since the news . I want to go there .

      Any word on the Courtneys?

      • Mike
        September 28, 2017

No one has heard from the Courtneys. Someone needs to go to their house and see if they are alive. They recently built a hurricane shelter. Maybe they are trapped inside it.

The Courtneys are all FINE!! What wonderful news…. Ross University had just gotten back to me regarding my plea for someone to go check on them (they reported back that they WERE “on it”! ) when I heard from Kristen’s father who informed me that William Courtney had finally been able to make a call to let Kristen’s parents know they were okay.

That’s good and I will be tuned in to listen to my pm. Also, I understood he will be meeting with Dominicans residing in NY tomorrow Evening, and I will take the long train ride to attend because Dominica needs all of us at this time. Unfortunately though I will not be able to give money at this time because I gave all my little pennies to ensure Linton’ dream is not crushed and he doesn’t have to be working on any man’s farm. To be blunt, I do not want to see him file for bankruptcy because it will affect all is. However I promise to give to send food and other supplies to my people as soon as it becomes possible and I hope I will have so cash to give before PM returns home. Let me take this opportunity to express my sympathies to all who have lost loved ones. Those who lost roofs, house, cars, I say be strong because they are replaceable. Let’s stand strong Dominica to build a better country of love.

Amen: I share your sentiments and honour your loyalty to decency in government. Dominica is already in bad state with an on going wrath of disaster by a corrupt government and incompetent leadership. CBI money come, it go, we just don’t know what is happening with international Personal Advisors to this inept PM.
On this journey for Dominica`s sake we hope he succeeds but after that we wish to see him exit the Prime Minister’s office and make way for those who are more experienced, honest, disciplined about good government and development and builds up our people, (not how to be beggars and dependent on a weak PM) Dominica’s institutions and its people that they are real owners and participants of this lovely Isle of Beauty and Splendour – Our Dominica.
We need to save Dominica and have more mature people running this country not loose 175 miles per hour illiterate so called DLP politicians. I’m not even interested in the UN speech by PM. Same old stuff and then to our old yard…

“Let’s stand strong Dominica to build a better country of love.” Ohhhh Please! We have been hearing this political old and broken record song for the past 20 years and the melody gets worse by the month.
Hurricane David was managed with the professionals & Dominicans in charge. Things were moving. We were not beggars then quing up at Financial Centre for pieces of bread while some left for home empty handed and they still sing same old corrupt song, “We love our PM “. How disgusting and this clown calling him pet name “God in Control” talking nonsense. It is Satan in Control, big time and that is not good. You go and repent for your obvious sins and stop getting at us. The more you write rubbish the more we stand as God`s disciples and correct your Satanic versus in lies and deception. Wake up and open your blind eyes and blind allegiance to a corrupt PM and his corrupt government. There is nothing new to come out of the UN by PM, same old nonsense, not gonna help Dominica…

All you flooding me with thumbs down but who cares. I am a Dominican and I know we are very religious and hypocrite. I know all you saying now is not the time for that but I wonder when is. Immediately after the flood of Noah didn’t God plan a new feature with Noah? Don’t we perform a postmortem before a person buried? It’s a sad time for all of us because our country is destroyed and we have to think of rebuilding. But how do we rebuild if we don’t do a postmortem to see what caused us to be where we are, with the view of avoiding it? How can we build back stronger without addressing our evil plots against those we don’t like and look for ways to ensure their dreams and aspirations are crushed, because we don’t like the questions they asking? Sorry I stand by my post

    September 22, 2017

I listened to PM’s interview with ABS TV yesterday and it was so hard to see my PM weep, as it reminded me of when the real Jesus wept in Jn.11:35. We know Jesus wept because of the unbelief of the people but no one knows why PM wept. Off course the situation back home is very sad with so many deaths and so many left homeless and our beautiful country now looking like a war zone. Oh Lord how sad! As for Pm his weeping might go much deeper because unlike hurricane David that destroyed us in 1978 and Erika in 2015, where Dominica was the only island that suffered, which made it easier for us to get help from abroad, this time we have St Martin, Barbuda, the USVI, BVI, Puerto Rico, Florida, Houston, and Mexico are all in dire need and only God knows. On top of that Venezuella is in political turmoil, our crops are gone no more bananas, our passports not selling and it is just a big mess. So I can identify with the weeping of PM because it’s tuff for us all. So yes Jesus wept JN 11:35

Of course, what else would one expect. As soon as there is a disaster…..leave the island. He knew this was going to come some day but instead of getting the island prepared, he is out begging for help. Same scenario every disaster.
