West Indies leg-spinner, Devendra Bishoo, had the remarkable figures of 8-49 to bowl out Pakistan for 123 in the second innings and give the West Indies a chance of a come-from-behind victory in their first pink ball Test match under lights.

The 30-year-old Bishoo recorded career-best figures to end the match with 10-174. The 8-49 was his third five-wicket haul  beat his previous best of 6-80 against Australia in Dominica in June, 2015.

He now has the best bowling figures in the United Arab Emirates, and the fifth best in West Indies Test history.

West Indies will enter the final day on 95-2 — the not out batsmen are Darren Bravo (26) and Marlon Samuels (4). The visitors need another 251 runs for victory with eight wickets in hand.

Match scores: Pakistan 579-3 declared (Azhar Ali 302 not out, Sami Aslam 90, Babar Azam 69, Asad Shafiq 67; Devendra Bishoo 2-125) and 123 (Sami Aslam 44, Babar Azam 21; Devendra Bishoo 8-49)

West Indies 357 (Darren Bravo 87, Marlon Samuels 76, Jermaine Blackwood 37, Kraigg Brathwaite 32, Shane Dowrich 22; Yasir Shah 5-121, Mohammad Nawaz 2-38, Wahab Riaz 2-65) and 95-2 (Leon Johnson 47, Darren Bravo 26 not out; Mohammad Amir 2-26)

Here we go again, West Indies loose the match by their dismal performance, what a disgrace

I IT was about time to come through for west indies because since the second innings against Australia in Dominica where he took 6 wickets, he’s not looked like a test bowler and I was calling for him to be dropped. But good job and sure gave us a real chance to win.

I would really like to watch that match, but the way west Indies are loosing all their matches makes me wonder whether I should watch it at all. The W.I team is on a down hill spiral
