Dominica in control in Windwards match against St.Lucia

Windward-Islands-CricketDominica is in full control on day one of the Windward Islands cricket match against the home team Grenada,

Tyrone  Theophille 91, Gian Benjamin 45 not out and Kavem Hodge 36,  helped Dominica reach 255 all out.  Nelon Pascal with 6 wickets for 70 runs, was the best bowler for Grenada,

At the close of play, Grenada was on 49 for 3. Mervin Matthew has so far bagged 2 wickets for 9 runs.

In the other match, St Lucia scored 155 all out and St Vincent in reply, is on 101 for three wickets

In the first round of matches Grenada got first innings points against St. Lucia and there was no decision in the match between Dominica and St Vincent.

    Just having seen how the West Indies capitulated against New Zealand, I can only wonder about the quality of the game being played among the lesser teams.

    I could not get too excited watching or reading about cricket in the West Indies.
