Dublanc FC is the new champion of the Dominica Football Association (DFA) Flow Premier League.

The team defeated Sign Man Middleham United three-nil on Sunday in the first match of a double-header at the Benjamin Park, to reach 36 points with one match in hand.

Chad Bertrand scored from the penalty spot, with Travis Joseph scoring ten minutes later, giving Dublanc a 2-0 advantage at the interval.

Shikel St Marie scored in the second half to put the icing on the cake and to give the 2015-2016 title to Dublanc.

In the earlier match, title contenders Bath Estate FC were held to a 1-all draw by Kairi FM Exodus FC. Kurlson Benjamin scored for Bath Estate, with Delbert Dailey getting the equalizer for Exodus. Bath Estate needed a win to remain in contention for the championship.

On Saturday Sagicor South East and Caribbean Cool Harlem United played to a 1-1 draw. Jeffrey Charles scored for Harlem, while South East benefited from an own goal.

Meanwhile, the quarter-final stage of the DFA Division One League has been set, and will kick off this week with two double headers.

In the first doubleheader on Wednesday at the Poree Playing Field, Mahaut Soca Strikers will take on RC Doctors at 5:00 pm, while at 7:00 pm it will be Petro Caribe Point Michel vs Itassi United.

In the second doubleheader on Thursday, RIC Kensbro will come up against Cube Cheese Barber Shop Bath Estate at 5:00 pm at the Newtown Playing Field, to be followed by Element Agencies LA Stars vs Wacky Rollers at 7:00 pm, also at the Newtown playing field.

The semi-finals will be played on Wednesday 2nd March, with the winner of game one taking on the winner of game two, and the winner of game three taking on the winner of game four.

This year three teams will be promoted to the Premier League, taking the number of teams to ten.

One team will be relegated to the Division One League.
