Holder wants repeat in Dominica

West Indies captain Jason Holder has praised the focus and commitment of his embattled side following their crushing win over Pakistan yesterday, and has urged them to maintain the intensity heading into next week’s decisive Test at Windsor Park.

Entering the Kensington Oval contest on the back of a seven-wicket defeat in the opening Test at Sabina Park two weeks ago, West Indies turned the tables on Pakistan to level the three-match series with a 106-win on the final day.

“We had to win the game to keep the series alive. Everybody knew what was at stake and we wanted to win the game,” Holder told a media conference yesterday.

“We wanted to win the series and start making strides in the right direction, so everybody knew the importance of the game and it was all about giving a big effort. I told the guys to leave everything out on the park.”

It takes hard work to win anything no matter what game it is. If you work hard and give it your all you will win. We are waiting for you in Dominica. We want to see hard work there just as you did in Barbados. No more no less.

Was the match sold by the Pakistan team?I was out during the early part of the day but knowing that they only had to bowl out the last wicket, they would do that within the first or second overs, then they would go in to bat like T-20 style and rap up the match before lunch. To my great surprise, I came home and noticed that W.I were still batting, I saw the last wicket fell, when the Pakistan team went in to bat I saw wickets started falling one after the other.I do not know what happened during the morning session whether play was held up because of rain. Could some one fill me in? I’m glad that W.I won, but I kept asking myself, whether the match was sold

Whole Holder and everyone want a repeat ( beat Pakistan ) players will definitely not experince a similar surface like at the Oval . Since the DCA was asked to resurface , we can expect one to hold well into day 4 , helping everyone..The Leewards / Windwards fc match strip provided just that .

Holder, you cannot just “want a repeat”. You have to earn a repeat. This is how spots works. You have to outplay the other team to win. The concept is very simple. How you get there is an entirely different story.
