Results of games played over the weekend in the Lime National Basketball League in both divisions,

Saturday  Games saw no results in both the Kubuli Division 1 game between La Plaine Avengers and Kelvar Daroux Hurricanes and Gatorade Blazers and No Look in the Domlec Premier Division  due to the bad weather, both games will be reschedule.

Sunday saw much improved weather with games schedule for Grand Bay and Paix Bouche. In Grand Bay there were two games schedule, the first game in the Kubuli Division 1 between Maximum Supplies Tigers against T.F Grand Fond Ball Tricks. The games which went down to the wire saw Maximum Building Suppliers Tigers pull off a 5 point victory over T.F Grand Fond Ball Tricks.

The final scores were Tigers 69 points to Ball Tricks 64, top scoring for Tigers were Ian Brumant 20 points, Tony Lee 19 points and Curtis John 11 points while Allister Brown 16 points, Kemon Cuffy 12 points and Irsan Prince 10 points for Grand Fond Ball Tricks. The second game of the evening in the Domlec Premier Division saw Dragon Stout Pros of Grand Bay against United Insurance Stars. Dragon Stout Pros Kept their home fans happy by edging out United Insurance Sharks of Scots Head by 3 points.

The final score was Dragon Stout Pros 86 points to United Insurance Sharks 83 points, top scoring for Pros were Ramal Carbon 25 points and Shamal Tounge 19 points while in a losing effort Neverson Jno Baptist with a game high 29 points and Royce Caesar 20 points.

Also rescheduled this past Sunday were two games which were previously rained out play at Paix Bouche. In Game 1 in the Kubuli Division 1 league saw Cornfield Hoyas of Lagoon Portsmouth squeak pass Northern Stars Chargers of Bense by one point. Final scores Hoyas 55 points to Chargers 54 points, top scoring for Hoyas were Kervin Nanthan 26 points and Iroy Brooks 10 points and in a losing effort Leroy Massicot 18 points and Daryl Thomas 14 points. In the second game due to the failure of Kelvar Daroux Hurricanes to show up for the game the points were awarded to Paix Bouche Snipers.

The games will continue this week at Lindo Park, Massacre and Paix Bouche.

Also schedule this week is the Annual General Meeting of the Dominica Amateur Basketball Association on Tuesday May 17th at the Prevo Cinemal Conference Room from 5 pm. The Agenda includes the Presidents and Treasurer reports, in addition the revised constitution is expected to be ratified by the members. There will also be discussion on the current basketball season and the up coming Windward Island Tournament. All teams and clubs are ask to send two representatives.

    I hope the media or personnel are appointed to film the games

    It will be invaluable to the DABA when selectin the National team. i see them having a hard time with so many players now to pick from

    2. it will also be very good to have for US coaches to see when they come scouting in the Island. Some of the guys will get opportunities to obtiain scholarships, which are greatly enhanced with the availability of film.

    keep posting results. i look forward to checking them out and how my village Bense is doing

      note the errors are not DNO, but its the information forwarded to DABA, the team coach or captain need to enusre that the team players names are spelt correctly on the score book. So that the correct names can be publish.
