More qualifiers for domino pairs competition

Seven more pairs move on to the grand finals of the White Oak Rum Domino Pairs Competition sponsored by Fine Food Inc.

In the North East leg of the competition played in Calibishie on Saturday, Robert Carrier & Charles Fabien, Deon Davis & Vincent Telemaque, Rawlins Davis & Kelvin Benjamin, Uriel Benjamin & Wilson Bonfiff, William Davis & Avanelle Telemaque, Clyde Telemaque & Damian Carbon and Elvin Charles &Felix Fontaine all advanced to the finals.

In the north on Sunday, last year’s defending pairs champions, Royston Cado & Dennison Bell along with Gilford Joseph & Barrington Honore, Wayne Mc Lawrence & Roy Larocque, Addison Aaron &Martin Sango and Peter Royer & Stevenson Joseph, booked their spot in the finals.

The first round of the competition ends this weekend with two zonal competitions.

The Mahaut district leg will be held on Saturday August 11 at Mahaut, for domino players from Canefield, Massacre, Mahaut, Campbell, Warner, Jimmit, Tareau and Despot.

Players from Louisville, Bath Estate, Fond Cole, Pottersville, Stock Farm, St Aroment, Goodwill, Tarish Pit and Roseau will meet on Sunday August 12, in Roseau, to compete for the remaining places in the finals.

The grand finals of the White Oak Rum Domino Pairs Competition will be held on the 16th of September.
