NBD Primary Schools Football Championship moves to third stage

The 2011 NBD Primary Schools Football Championship will move to its third stage on Monday, June 20, 2011.

The first stage of the championship involved the record participation of 49 schools which were divided into nine districts.

The Goodwill Primary emerged as the top school at the end of the first stage.

Following the first stage of the championship, the most outstanding players from each district were selected to undergo training, following which the top players were selected to represent their district in the third stage which will commence on June 20, 2011 at two venues – Newtown Savannah and Benjamin’s Park in Portsmouth from 10:30 am.

Zone A to be played at Benjamin’s Park will see participation from the North, North West, North East and East while Zone B to be played at Newtown will see participation from the West Central, Valley/Central, South West, South East and South.

The top four teams will then participate in the semi final on June 28, 2011 with the Final to be played on July 1, 2011.

An invitational Primary Schools Girls’ Football Festival on July 6, 2011 will climax the NBD Primary Schools Football Championship for 2011.

The Sports Division expresses its gratitude to the National Bank of Dominica for making this important football development programme possible with its overall sponsorship of $11, 500.00.

    good job sports division that the way i no it in da when i was growing up attending primary school.
