The Dominica Hotel and Tourism Association (DHTA) will seek to hear the concerns of tourism stakeholders in the north when it hosts an open meeting in Calibishie on Thursday afternoon.
President of the association Simon Walsh told Dominica News Online that the meeting will allow the association to meet with stakeholders and potential stakeholders and hear their plights and concerns.
According to Walsh, the meeting will also seek to show that focus is not only placed on Roseau. He also pointed out that a similar meeting was held in Portsmouth last year.
The DHTA is also hoping that the meeting, which begins at 3:00 p.m., will attract new members to the association.
A DHTA board meeting, which will be closed to the public, will follow today’s meeting.

Typical ethnic paralysis…also our country is controlled by a french man…
fairplay dont be silly . Be constructive or say noting. Why you don’t put yourself forward to do something worthwhile for the country in Touristism ..
Cause the tourist is white
Why is our local hotel and tourist association controlled by White people ?
@ Fairplay … I have no idea. Is it an NGO or a Government body?
I think it is in reality a good money making scheme for the owners. You have to pay $400 US to be a member. Think how many members they must have … now you see why they do it.
I think that they do good, but in reality it is a well paid business … not a service.
