  1. Partnering with Cruise Ship Industry
    September 2, 2010

I know that right about now Dominicans are trying to understand how best to tap into this illusive industry that have the ability to make or break economies in an instant. My research about this industry is not extensive by any means, but I have notice how some cruise companies have become stake holders of certain projects of some countries and there is some arrangement on how the locations are managed and profits shared. It seem like the cruise industries are looking for ways to add much needed revenues to shore-up for the decline caused by the recession. Now, having said that did our government approach the cruise industry on projects like the WCNT? The reason for this question is that when the cruise companies are involved they have an added incentive to make Dominica a stop, and not to mention the promotion that they can provide through thier established brand name. The other thing is that we need to have people during the negotiations to make certain that Dominica gets a fair deal. I really want to see Dominica prosper and we need to increasingly become creative and be one step ahead of the competition.
