Reigning Calypso king, Dennison ‘Dice’ Joseph has been discharged from the Princess Margaret Hospital where he had been admitted following a motor vehicular collision.
Dice appears in a photo posted on Facebook on Tuesday which shows him cutting a birthday cake on his birthday (May 9th) – the day he was released from hospital.
According to Police PRO, Acting Inspector PellamJno Baptiste, the accident occurred on Saturday, May 7, at about 10:30pm, on Goodwill Road.
“Joseph, who was the rider of scooter registration number PS362, lost control, and went off the road,” he said.
Jno Baptiste said the calypsonian sustained injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
He was then transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the PMH, where he was examined by a medical doctor and admitted.
Investigations are ongoing, according to the police PRO.
‘Dice’ is the eight-time Calypso Monarch of Dominica.
