Even the pastor who did the opening prayer sounds biased, just listen to him praying asking God to help those who disagree with the CCJ, and that it speaks to the regions maturity. That prayer has a tinge of politics.

Congratulations to Dominica and the Caribbean for this momentous step in your history. I am in full support of the CCJ. It is however incumbent on the judiciary and governments of the reigon, to jealously protect the integrity, honour and repute of this institution! In every legal system, there will always be attempts to usurp the law and to seek unfair advantage before the courts, but that is no reason why we should not have confidence in ourselves. There is the concern that we do not have a history of strong independent institutions, but this should not hinder us from pursuing this goal.
We should expect some growing pains. We should be thus very vigilant, agile and proactive.
Finally , taking into account the concerns of ease of access and operational costs of the court, I would like to suggest that the CCJ consider evaluating the use of the communication technologies available in the conduction of court cases, to help reduce cost..

Dr. Alexi – not 1947 is the start of Federation – the Dominica Conference of 1932 led by Cecil Rawle began the Federation debate for unity.

At least half of the people listening to Dr. Alexis in that audience are totally clueless about what he is saying. No fault of theirs. Wrong audience.

So glad to learn only some of us are passing through and all non supporters of government will be there forever. That is what grell means right; because never do I hear any UWP supporters refer that phrase to any UWP supporters but constantly to supporters of the government. I wonder who is living in a fool’s paradise.

Incidentally, I saw the L.O.T.O. in the State House yesterday, good for him let all his supporters jaws reach the floor because he says one thing and does the opposite. Do as I say not as I do. Lesson learnt for the last Leader of the Opposition.

No thank you. I’m feeling bad enough about this already without watching it. It is true mr. Skerrit was not obliged to have a referendum on this but he had the option to do so. If he really cared about his people he would have done so.
