This footage was absent from the DNO stream of the calypso monarch final due to technical difficulties experienced by Come See TV just around the time Dice was performing his second song.

The crown should have gone to SOUL PUSS . He had two good songs and performed exceedingly well

GOD AGVE THIS MAN A GIFT AND HE JUST HAS TO REALISE THAT AND MAKE THE ADJUSTMENTS NEEDED. I MEAN THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT.MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS HIM AND USE HIM IN A SPECIAL WAY AND GRANT HIM THE WISDOM HE NEEDS TO PERFORM HIS MISSION. THE ICONIC NORMAN ENCY CYRILLE’S HUMBLE SERVANT cannot be equated with what KING DICE has presented. It was rather unfortunate that the exagerated moving dictionary alluded to this in some commentary at the finals. Such comparisons are rather unfortunate for HUMBLE SERVANT continues to be one of the greatest songs ever to be written about dominica and got crown and road match; many consider it to be second only to KING SOLO’S mass in the cemetary.
Well done DICE but HUMBLE SERVANT is a national anthem of calypso.,,written performed sang by the legendry KING ENCY.
Did anybody notice that he began a verse before time? But overall, he was great.
Did he? The boy is very skillful he was about to start but did not. Only a veteran can pull off something like that and win. I definitely enjoyed both performance. The first round was great but the second one was the icing on the cake. Great performance always expect the unexpected with Dice. Karessa putting too much emphasis on the props. Personally his performance at the semis was better than that of the finals. In my opinion soul puss was second on the night.
OH BOY I CANT SAY AM NOT ENJOYING THAT, I MUST BLAME MYSELF FOR MISSING THAT SHOW. CONGRATS THE KING DICE.
Congratulations to the King. The message for all Dominicans is clear, we must work for the development of the country so that future generations can enjoy a better live than we had. Stand up for the country, not self.

The judges knew who they wanted to win, mistakes or not
Karessa did worth being in the TOP FOUR. Soul Puss spot was stolen and given to Dice and Dice was suppose to be 1st runner up NOT KING. Karessa had a drammer show not calypso. The judges MUST NOT do that to a human being that work hard for what is theirs. NO MAN NEED TO BE CHITTED

Great Lyrics and Performance and I just cannot understand after watching this Video and listening to the Lyrics why someone would say he did not deserve to WIN. Yes I want to ask why Soul Puss did not make the top four but honestly he did not deserve to win as some are saying and to be honest from since last year Soul Puss should have been placing higher. But Dice deserves to be King for 2012.
To Tasha P do not give up but this year just wasn’t yours to get back.
The song was great, the dancers were wonderful and the choreography was good. It was a great performance all around. There was no flaws in the streaming of the video by DNO. The person who had a problem with the streaming, maybe it was just a bad connection.

I must state that Dice was good, but not deserving of the crown. He made a mistake at the beginning of the second verse by coming in too early, though he skillfully got back into rhythm. However the biggest injustice, was what they did to Soulpus!!!!
He did not actually say the word; it was more like a hmmm before you start a verse; which is fine. Furthermore he was way above the rest. -1 would do him no harm.
according the the judging criteria he won his crown fair and square…..beautiful song, i get the shivers, this song should be like an anthem to rally around Dominica…lovely composition.

Well if that is not talking a song i dont know what is. Biasness is a hell of a thing. The judges handed the crown to Dice. I dont believe he earned it based on his performance on the night. Brilliant lyrics and message contained therein but F for melody and rendition. Nonetheless, I hope we all take in the message and look to strive to turn back to country and not continue to turn our back to the country.

And the judges remain consistent with their inconsistency. Last year Soulpuss had two good sounds out before the finals and a lot of people, including the judges, thought he should win. So even with all the mistakes he made last year he still got placed, that’s because the judges came in with their predetermined notion to place him.
This year because Soulpuss second recording was not up to par and because radio announcers decided that Soulpuss was not impressive this year, the judges themselves thought so and went in with the notion that Soulpuss was not impressive on radio with his second sound and should not get placed.
Well even with such a massive performance, the judges inconsistency remained consistent…Soulpuss was not supposed to be place because the judges were not impressed with his second recordings. Congratulation to Dice and Caressa I think they deserve their places,

He did place last year, he was absent during the calling of the winners so his position automatically went to the next person in line. As it should have been done with Dice on Saturday. And I believe SoulPuss did magnificently and should have won the crown. Dice & Caressa congrats….job well done.
I agree. Even if I had not heard Soulpuss’ song before the finals, it was a damn good song and a damn good performance, even if they wanted to stick to their consistency, and have dice or karessa win, they could have at least placed him in the final four.

That song has a very strong message within it, especially where he says “my allegience was for another and not for you”, something like that.
We are all to blame or we are all needed to put Dominica at the stage where she belongs, and stop staying from the outside (overses) and chat and run our mouths about her.
yes we all have to put Dominica first, the saying is we all can’t go some of us have to stay home but the ones that have to go (overses) like me still have a say, we Love Dominica and is sanding money to develope our country one love thanks DNO
