The Dominica Meteorological Service has said a tropical wave is located in the Tropical Atlantic and is expected to move across the area this weekend.
The wave will be producing shower and thunderstorm activity.
Persons in areas prone to flooding, landslides and falling rocks are advised to be vigilant and to exercise extreme caution during the weekend.
Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 24 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet. An increase to peak near 8.0 ft is expected on the weekend.
Meanwhile, some early morning showers and a relatively dry atmosphere can be expected today (Friday) as the day progresses ahead of the approaching tropical wave.
