Tropical wave to affect Dominica tonight; another expected on the weekend

map

A tropical wave is expected to affect Dominica late Wednesday night into Thursday, a report from the Dominica Met Office has said.

The wave is expected to move across the area, resulting in an increase in cloudiness, showers, and possible isolated thunderstorms.

Additionally, another tropical wave is expected to move across the area on the weekend.

The Met Office said that persons living in areas prone to flooding, landslides, and falling rocks are advised to be vigilant and to exercise caution.

Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 24 to 48 hours with waves peaking near 7.0 feet.

For the time being a high-pressure system will continue to dominate conditions across the area during the next 12 to 18 hours. However, patches of low-level clouds moving westward could result in occasional cloudiness and brief showers mainly during the morning, according to the Met Office.

Erika was the worst thing to happen to Dominica but one of the positive things it did was to bring us together as a nation, helping with one another, praying and helping each other.

That’s what Dominica needs right now. praying and working together. So whenever there is a storm approaching, don’t make it a time to bash one another or blame the Government. It sounds so silly reading some of the comments people make or reading the name calling.

It’s time we wake up. Life is too short for this. here today and gone tomorrow.

Are yoi serious. This country is so divided . Why do we have to wait on the effects of a storm to bring us together? Stupse. We need to stop the hypocricy

DUH … it’s because Dominica almost washed away in a storm not too long ago and it wasn’t a hurricane. Not everything is about the government!
