
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of MacDonald Alexander, better known as Humpty of Goodwill, who resided in Tampa, Florida. He was the beloved son of Chief Dispenser/Pharmacist Tyrell Alexander and Head Nurse Ena Cuffy Alexander. He was born in Grand Bay on May 7, 1939, and departed this life on July 19, 2025, at 86.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Esther Bruney Alexander; his cherished children, Arabella, Norrisa, Brenton, Leanne, and Shaniska Alexander; his brother, Manley Alexander; numerous nieces and nephews; the Alexander and Bruney families; and many close relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
MacDonald Alexander was renowned for his unwavering dedication to education and passion for nurturing young minds. As the principal of the Dominica Grammar School and the head of Clifton Dupigny Technical College, he fostered a love for learning in his students while maintaining high academic standards. His mathematics, chemistry, and physics expertise inspired countless students to pursue fulfilling careers in science and technology.
The funeral service of the late MacDonald Alexander will be held on Saturday, August 16, 11:00 a.m. at Temple Terrace Methodist Church in Tampa, Florida. Following the funeral service, his body will be laid to rest at
Rest Haven Memorial Park located at 4615 E Hanna Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, United States.
His legacy of inspiration and commitment to education will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
