The management of LIAT wishes to advise that it has resumed flights following its suspension of services due to
maintenance issues in November.
The company has been able to resolve the maintenance issues and resumed flying its regular schedule, which is currently open for sale, as of today, Thursday, December 7, 2023.
LIAT wishes to apologise to all persons who were affected by the disruptions due to unscheduled maintenance issues. The company wishes to reiterate its commitment to the safety and comfort of passengers and crew as it continues to serve its current destinations.
LIAT wishes to assure all customers that all employees will be working to ensure a smooth winter and Christmas travel season.
It is almost the year 2024 why is LIAT still using prop aircraft’s ? They should be using mid sized jets capable of flying from the islands direct to Florida. Jets can land on Dominica American Airlines has proven that. Dominica loses out on tourism because people do not want to go through conniptions to get to the island.
To the interest of Antigua PM. He is trying to keep Liat flying. Thats why he doesn’t want competition. And fighting to stop Caribbean airways there’s no future in Liat for DA. So we better hurry and complete the airport.
Welcome back LIAT. Keep on flying.
It’s unfortunate that some regional governments will bend over backwards and pay large sums via Minimum Revenue Guarantees (MRG) to foreign airlines in order to get these airlines to fly to their respective islands but play stingy with LIAT.
All the OECS countries, at sometime in the recent past, have voluntarily contributed $millions multiple times to keep LIAT afloat to no avail. Once bitten, twice shy.
No astute business person would continue to invest in a failed business enterprise. Why should any responsible government repeat the wastage of the taxpayers’ money?
Are LIAT aircraft’s safe do people need to wear life vests when flying over the ocean?
me liat living island at any time I rather walk very unreliable who have time for garbage sell liat to who can manage it
LIAT left me and 5 friends stranded in Dominica a few years ago. I have no time for this airline. It should be grounded.
My thanks to LIAT. You all have been a blessing to the Caribbean. Silver Airways is shamefully unreliable.
