Huge failure Carnival Comittee. Go back to the drawing board. I think you all should look back at the carnival gone by..years ago..see the difference.
We have had carnival for 21 of 23 years under the DLP It is only in 2023 we have a braying Jacka.Ugly Lenny and his brother called Dominican young people PROSTITUTES,every one of the UWP lazy hypocrites clapped.Skerrit’s wife is a target of insults and indecent literature in the media.Every one of the UWP lazy hypocrites clapped.I support banning the indecent songs,I am against nudity in public,but,I do not support hypocrites.The same people they say they want to protect it’s the same people they disrespect on political platforms and that is ok.They can disrespect the head of government every minute of every day,and expect their children to behave differently.Father and mother eat sour grapes.

Too many skimpy outfits. Too much vulgarity. Too many lewd songs. Too many naked people who just don’t look good as they burst out of their costumes in all directions. Please set some guidelines as to what can and cannot be accepted on the streets. Raise Dominica up; don’t bring it down.
These are the signs of the latter days; and it’s gonna get worst pretty soon. I was making a video on carnival Monday and I had to discard the whole thing after what I saw happening between a man and a woman on the street IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. I said to myself we are finished. Many decent people with good moral have pulled out from this festival – But those who remain including de promoters will take it to the gutters to the extent that the decent people will not go out of their homes. Those of us who await the second return of Christ Jesus are in no way surprised. This is a small fraction of the evil and abomination which will be poured upon mankind. Just read the book of Revelations and you’ll see the full predictions which will befall man. Man has brought himself lower than the Animals. Sin is the result of the degradation of man; not any government, as corrupt as they may be. If you don’t have Christ in your life you are not exempt. Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy whosoever.
Many of the carnival revellers leave nothing to the imagination. Watching these people on the streets is like watching a X-rated movie. The innocence of the very young girls and boys has been eternally impaired.
Maybe you don’t have an imagination anymore why there is nothing left to the imagination. All your imagination has been spent watching x-rated movies. I did not realize until now that you had a corrupted mind full of vice. Can you imagine if everything was just perfect? Poor Ibo France would have been living a cloistered life.
I agree. Carnival is now being used as an excuse to be lawless, lewd and indecent, and downright carnal.
The repulsive songs during and outside carnival have a profound deleterious impact on young, impressionable minds.
My point is simply this: Our country is spiralling morally out of control as the relevant authorities have allowed excesses to become acceptable. When there is lax leadership in any country the people perish. Leadership matters!
Have you been to Trinidad and Antigua during their carnivals to observe what is going on on the streets on Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday? Have you witnessed Labor Day Carnival in New York? All filth and craziness and out of control. These other islands are no different from Dominica. As a matter of fact what is going on in Dominica today was copied from the other islands including Trinidad. Stop hitting on Skerrit as usual. All these so-called dance hall music has contributed to those repulsive songs you are talking about, not only in Dominica but in Trinidad as well. I take it there is lax leadership in every country in the world including the caribbean islands.
For Dominica’s carnival to achieve its fullest potential, it must have the full support of the government behind it. There should be a central organising committee which is financed by government and private sector sponsors like what obtains in most other countries in the Caribbean (Antigua, St. Kitts, Grenada, Trinidad) etc.
Dominica is just unique under this current administration. It is grossly mismanaged by one who’s uniquely unqualified for the position he presently holds. Dumb as a box of rocks and dangerous as a scorpion.
