Thanks for the information and for the quick decisions to limit the cluster. Again, please reinstate quarantine for all arrivals. It’s abundantly clear that travelers are getting exposed DURING travel. Delta has changed the game significantly, and prior achievements (no community spread, no deaths) will mean nothing if we underestimate it. Dominica especially cannot afford the Delta variant. Vaccination alone is not a panacea, no matter the questionable decisions being taken in some more developed countries. We don’t have the health resources those countries do.
Incidentally, if you’re going to list percentages of vaccinations per district, list them all. Anything else, looks like naming and shaming. A successful public health program against communicable diseases cannot afford to alienate any stakeholders because we need everyone to cooperate – especially the yet to be vaccinated. We’re all in this together, like it or not.
How much does the ruler pay you for this kind of propaganda. If you want vaccine, by all means have it in fact you are welcome to my doses too. You mention naming and shaming… are you out of your mind? Why are not yet in a dictatorship. Lastly, DNO you are quite happy to publish that kind of shameless nonsense which clearly originates from the DLP camp. What did you say to IBO not long ago that you have no affiliation with the government and the Red party. Well, you could have fooled me!
In the real world, outside the one we lock ourselves into with our partisan blinders, there exists a scientific process that relies on on facts. If an infectious diseases causes waves of deaths in numerous countries, there is no sane way this can be attributed to politics in any individual country – least of all our lovable little specks of rock in the Caribbean sea. Sometimes in life, things are indeed what they seem: people trying to help people just because they’re both human and deserve it.
Everywhere in the world I hear facts. In Dominica I hear nothing but self congratulations and propaganda. I had covid myself and I live in a country that was hit very bad with the virus. So you will excuse me when your clever words mean absolutely nothing. YOU don’t impress me one little bit. Your name says it all. Dominica has been very lucky because their tourism industry was on its knees. No thanks to the ruler.
