Death in Woodford Hill under police investigation

The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is investigating an apparent homicide that occurred in Woodford Hill on Friday, December 22, 2023.

According to information from Police Inspector Fixton Henderson, at about 9:45 am on the said date, the lifeless body of 61-year-old Jalyn Africa was found on her bed at her home at Woodford Hill with injuries to her head.

She was examined and pronounced dead at the scene by a medical doctor that day and is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy.

The CDPF expresses sincere condolences to her family.

Anyone with information relating to the death of Jalyn Africa is asked to contact the Wesley Police Station at 266-4882 or any other police station.

    Sincerest condolences to the family, friends and acquaintances of the dearly departed. I hope the killer is caught and justice be done.

    Law enforcement is in a deplorable state. Shortage of manpower, decapitated buildings, insufficient vehicles, no forensic lab, even uniforms are in short supply. The police officers morale is at its lowest ebb. Criminals now think that this is the best time to go on a crime spree and get away with it.

    Dominicans are under duress. The country is going to ruins.Leadership is essential for the advancement of a country.n domino a is most definitely in peril.
