Details of fatal motorcycle accident in Louisville yesterday from full police report

The Traffic Department of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is investigating a road traffic fatality involving a motorcycle SH Scooter registration #PY768, owned and driven by Mackie McKenzie 45-year-old of River Street. According to police reports, his pillion rider was Shaquille Hector male adult of River Street.

Reports further stated that the incident occurred while a Mitsubishi Fuso fighter was travelling in an easterly direction on Valley Road in the vicinity of the Louisville junction.

The motorcycle was being ridden in a westerly direction. When the rider of the motorcycle saw the truck, he tried to avoid it, ran off the road, and collided with a curb.

“The impact threw the occupants of the motorcycle off the cycle and onto the southern side of the road,” the report added.

The rider and the pillion were transported to the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital (DCFH) Accident and Emergency Department, where they were attended to by the medical staff. Shortly thereafter, McKenzie was pronounced dead at 12:48 hrs on February 16, 2026.

 

The pillion rider,  Hector is a patient at the Alford Ward nursing non-life threatening injuries.
