A stabbing incident in the community of Massacre last evening has claimed the life of a 32-year-old man.
Kennon Etienne of Massacre who has been identified as the victim is said to have succumbed to stab wounds sustained some time after 10:00 p.m.
According to police sources, another Massacre man is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
Etienne’s death is the 9th homicide in Dominica for the year thus far.

The blacks have devised their generational poverty for Thousands of years and they remain stuck in the mire never to the light of day. My take is this, think of this dead thug having children with a silly woman that’s unemployed and unemployable. What’s going to happen to his children? Who’s going to care for and educate these children? Without going any further; what type of parent(s) had this thug? So you see my point? And there are millions of young black women/girls who are trapped in that cycle of constant poverty. You and I may not be a thug nor a criminal – But the actions of these thugs affect all of us one way or the other. We feel unsafe even in our own home; let alone on the streets. Someone who may be struggling and have a good heart has to lend a helping hand to support the thug’s child/children. And the situation gets unbearable and the poverty cycle keeps turning. Is this the Black Man’s Curse? I often think so. But I hope that I’m wrong. Howbeit, the cycle remains.

Can you also do some interviews with some young men, preferably between the ages of 18 and 35 years to try to discover the causes or reasons for this spade of violence among them?
Come on DNO! Be of more value to your country. Just don’t publish excerpts of stories from other sources or publish announcements. Interviews with a wide cross section of the populace, investigative stories, follow-ups on important events and unfulfilled promises of government. Come on man!!!!!!

What is given rise to all this insanely intense anger and hatred. Is it poor parenting, hopelessness, bad example set by adults and corrupt, greedy politicians, or the harsh economic times?
Dominica has become a haven for murderers, child molesters, ‘tiefing’ politicians, kipnappers, money launderers, international fugitives, et cetera. The saddest thing is that the systems that are in place to protect the innocent are all monumental failures. Unfortunately, the security forces are the biggest failure of all.
Dominica is becoming ungovernable. It’s a place where decadence, lawlessness, corruption and insanity abound.

What level of salary is he qualified for? and what level of payment suited to his qualification would satisfy him, considering what he can earn from stealing? It is the same with white-collar crime. We should stop making excuses for criminals, they are all heartless and could care less about their victims. I am sure the legal Authorities will agree with you considering the leniency of sentencing that obtains. Note also that, like the criminal, the Authorities could care less about the victim. All penalties charged go to the Government and nothing for the victim
