The vehicle was extensively damaged, and the Colihaut Police are investigating the incident.
Dominica News Online (DNO) extends sincere condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of Laudat.
Mister didn’t present enough sacrifice so the Pope could pardon him us man? Since mister and his wife left is a murder in Grand bay and this crash.
Anyway my condolences to family and friends of both deceased
yes, agree that barriers need installed, but there is alot of reckless drivers on the road
True! But at times the authorities have to put things in place to save people from themselves.
Minister of communication and works or whatever ministry is responsible, please erect durable protective guardrails along these treacherous areas of the roads. It’s very scary driving along the roads that have so many bends and no guardrails. I can only say its only God watching over the drivers and passengers. Despite accidents in these areas the Govt refuses to protect drivers and mark you these Govt officials do pass, and they do drive and see. Fortunately, I have not heard of an incident that involved a minister. Only when there will be one (which I am not asking for) that something will be done.
Well said!!!!!!!!!!!!
My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I wonder if PM and his wife are still with the Pope so they could ask him to pray against all these accidents and shootings that taking the lives of our young men. Lord I just don’t understand this
My condolences to his family and friends. Such a tragic loss of life.
It’s not the first vehicular accident in that particular area. Installation of guardrails or crash barriers along the road edge needs to be done. In fact, attention should be given to nearly the entire road network in Dominica for installing of guardrails or crash barriers. Lives can be saved with these in place.
There are cemented barricades on that corner for that specific purpose. The driver was going so fast that he left the LEFT side of the road and went off the RIGHT side completely missing the barriers and going over the cliff. This was on a corner going up a hill so that person had to have had a lot of speed.
Also reports on the scene is that he was trying to over take another vehicle. Any good driver knows you don’t try to overtake around a corner. What if another vehicle was coming in the opposite direction? That crash could have been the loss of multiple lives.
People need to learn how to drive safe on the road. There’s way too much speeding and racing for the kind of dangerous roads that we have here
Another young man gone to the great beyond way too soon. Yes god giveth and taketh away but it is becoming way too frequent. Condolences to family, friends and acquaintances.
Why oh why are we loosing so many young men in such quick succession? Just asking because it is indeed troubling. May he sleep peacefully with the ancestors.
The fact is whatever barrier was placed there woefully inadequate. Not only guardrails Ned to be erected but durable and robust ones that can withstand the force of any impact due to speeding.
P.S. Seems like you were a passenger in the vehicle. Your detailed description of the events leading up to.the accident.
