The late Nathan Hans Victor was the victim of the second fatal traffic accident of the year.
According to reports from Acting Inspector Fixton Henderson, Nathan was one of four passengers in a Nissan March car which was traveling in a northerly direction on the E.O Leblanc Highway in Mahaut and driven at the time by Joshua Timothy, male, 20 years old of Jimmit.
Henderson said the car collided with the western railing of the bridge near the Mahaut market and was extensively damaged.
He stated that the other occupants of the vehicle, including the driver, received minor injuries, “while Nathan received trauma to the head and face.”
He was transported via ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department at the DCFH and admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
He was subsequently examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor at about 4:00 AM on Sunday, February 5, 2023.
Rest in peace my brother… another young life gone too soon beyond the great beyond. Where were they going or coming from at 4 o’clock in the early morning??
The name E.O Leblanc Highway needs to be changed. Too many lives lost since this little narrow stretch of road was named after a LOUGAWOO. Change that name and save lives. He came to my school and the class was singing “god save the queen.” I thought he was the queen. He was a LOUGAWOO.
De loogawoo mem help put skerrit on our backs and necks…
