The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Patrickson Thomas of Glanvillia, Portsmouth.
According to reports from Police Inspector Fixton Henderson, on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at about 2:30PM, 62-year-old Thomas apparently left his home alone to travel to Canefield.
He was driving his Suzuki Escudo jeep at the time,” Henderson said. “However, he did not return home that day.”
The following day, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, after his wife reported him missing, his vehicle was discovered partly submerged and extensively damaged at sea in an area near the shoreline at Bioche.
“Thomas’s lifeless body was also discovered at sea in that same area away from the vehicle with multiple injuries,” Inspector Henderson revealed.
The body was extracted from the sea by officers of the Dominica Coast Guard and was subsequently examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor at the Fond Cole Health Centre.
His body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy.
The CDPF urges anyone with information relative to this incident to contact their district police station or call “anonymously if you wish” at telephone numbers 767-266-5164, 767-266-5165, 767-266-5117, 767-266-5119 of 767-266-5157.
