The Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Roseau man, Cleaver H. Burton.
Information received by Dominica News Online (DNO) is that, on the afternoon of August 24, 2023, Burton was discovered unresponsive on the grounds of St. Martin High School in Roseau.
The body was then transported to the Dominica China Friendship Hospital (DCFH), where Burton was officially pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
According to police sources, foul play is not suspected, however, an investigation into the sudden death of Burton is underway.
DNO will continue to follow this story and report any new information that becomes available.

Some of us read but do not really understand. Don’t blame us. In this situation “Foul play” is not readily seen on the outside, there is no suspicion on the outside. However it doesn’t mean that it does not exist. It could be on the inside. Thats why further investigation has to be made. I hope we clear on that.

I do not understand how foul play is not suspected untill there is an investigation,or untill there is a medical report stating the person died from natural causes.Maybe the police has a report from a medical doctor stating the cause of death.
So things working in Dominica before they even know what going on they come to a conclusion magwaysah!
It’s not suspected because the circumstances PROBABLY don’t indicate foul play (no wounds or blunt force trauma detected). It doesn’t however rule out the possiblity which is why they are doing an investigation. It’s pretty simple really
