Police have confirmed to Dominica News Online (DNO) that the Major Crime Unit of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force (CDPF) is investigating a suspected homicide in the village of Marigot.
According to information from the police, the incident “apparently occurred” in a residential area of the community at dawn this morning.
The police report goes on to state that the body of a 42-year-old female was medically examined on the scene and pronounced dead by the District Medical Doctor.
The report further states, “Investigation into the matter is in its initial stage and is expected to continue vigorously to the end of justice.”
