
The CDPF is investigating a suspected homicide arising from an incident that occurred on Hanover Street, Roseau, during the early hours of Monday, June 1, 2026.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Trevor Viville, a 56-year-old male of Boetica who resided at River Street, Roseau, was allegedly involved in an altercation with another individual at approximately 2:45 AM on Monday, June 1, 2026, on Hanover Street, Roseau, when he reportedly sustained an injury.
Viville was transported to the Accident and Emergency Department of the Dominica-China Friendship Hospital that morning, and later that day he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit for medical attention, where he was subsequently examined and pronounced dead by a medical doctor on Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
The body is being kept at a funeral home pending an autopsy.
One man has been apprehended and is in police custody on suspicion of murder.
The CDPF extended condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased.
