Following a wave of excitement from its teaser release, “Burkinabe Rise” delivers on its promise as a defiant anthem of Pan-African unity and sovereignty. Produced with driving roots-reggae rhythms, Ophelia’s soul-stirring vocals honour President Traoré’s unwavering stand against foreign intervention and his dedication to Burkina Faso’s self-determination. The vibrant video interweaves powerful imagery of African resilience with Caribbean solidarity, embodying the shared spirit of resistance across the diaspora.

“This song is a flame for every nation fighting to reclaim its destiny,” declares Ophelia. “President Traoré’s fearlessness mirrors the fire in our Caribbean hearts. ‘Burkinabe Rise’ isn’t just a song – it’s a battle cry for dignity, from Roseau to Ouagadougou.”

While Ophelia reigns supreme in Cadence-lypso, Reggae has pulsed through her career since her earliest recordings. “Burkinabe Rise” masterfully blends her signature vocal prowess with a message that resonates across continents – proving her timeless relevance in conscious music.

Why “Burkinabe Rise” Matters:

In a world where sovereignty is contested, Ophelia’s anthem amplifies a critical conversation. Dominica, with its own history of resistance and cultural pride, stands in profound kinship with Burkina Faso’s struggle. This release transcends music – it’s a bridge of solidarity, echoing the Caribbean’s unwavering support for Africa’s right to self-governance.

What in the A.I hell was that video? And it’s not a fan edit either! It’s supposed to be an “Official Video” from our Lady of Song? I was so distracted by the artificially generated imagery, that I couldn’t focus on the song
