Dominica Freedom Party (DFP) has described and remembers Mr. Julius Timothy, who passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, as a public servant who has given himself to the service of the people of the Commonwealth of Dominica for many years in the area of business, politics, and governance.
Mr. Timothy owned and was the Managing Director of AC Shillingford and Company Limited one of the outstanding businesses in Roseau. He served as Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau North Constituency 1995 to 2014. Minister of Finance Industry and Planning in the United Workers Party (UWP) led administration 1995 to 2000. He joined the Dominica Labour Party in 2005 and was appointed as a Minister of government in the Roosevelt Skerrit led
administration until 2014.
He also served as President of the Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) and on a number of statutory boards and committees including the Credit Union Movement in Dominica. He was an avid sports man and contributed immensely to the development of sports on the island.
The Dominica Freedom Party extends condolences to his family, friends, staff of ACS, the people of the Roseau North Constituency, and the people of Dominica as a whole May his soul rest in eternal peace
No matter how badly the truth hurts I will always cherish it. All on this forum are showering praise and accolades on Mr. Timothy. Probably, he deserves much of it. But they are lying by omission when they fail to mention his self-serving U-turn to join one of the most corrupt political parties in the world, the DLP.
Speak the whole truth and nothing but the truth about this man. He betrayed his constituents by crossing the floor to join one of the most corrupt and dishonest political figures known to mankind.
He has NEVER apologized for his gross betrayal of the people’s sacred trust and confidence in him. I cannot bring myself to laud turn coats and Judases like him. I don’t mind all who get vex and curse. Standing on priciples!

Humans only live for a short period of time, we can only do a minimum amount of damage on this earth: funny people always seem to do more evil than good before their time expires.
He no longer suffers any pain: I have an idea of suffering from the stroke he suffered, seeing that I too suffered that same fate in 2022, thank God I survived without any form of paralysis, nevertheless, it did some damage to my brain.
Fortunately, my condition and cognitive abilities remain sound.
