It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that the Ministry of Education extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues and students of the late Ms. Claudia Toussaint, Assistant Principal at the Pierre Charles Secondary School.

The Ministry joins the education fraternity in mourning the passing of a truly dedicated educator. Ms. Toussaint was a fixture at Pierre Charles Secondary, having joined its staff in 2002 and devoting her entire illustrious career to the service of that institution. Her unwavering commitment and passion for education were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Ms. Toussaint was the very embodiment of a selfless educator, consistently placing the interests and well-being of her students above all else. She was a teacher, administrator and mentor. To her students, she provided steadfast support, genuine encouragement and invaluable life lessons that shaped character and inspired futures. Her profound impact is evident in the love and respect she earned from the entire school community.

Her passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt. The legacy of Ms. Claudia Toussaint, however, is one that will endure.

During this period of immense grief, our thoughts and prayers are with her family, whom we pray will find strength and comfort in her cherished memory. We also stand in solidarity with the staff and students of the school as they navigate this difficult time.

Rest in Eternal Peace, Educator.

I too would like to extend my condolences to the family and friends of Claudia. Claudia and I were classmates at sixth form. We were in the same French class, where we were lectured by Madame Augustus. We were also in the same sociology and history class. I was always the comedian while we sat on the steps of Alliance Française waiting for French class to start. I was encouraged because of how deeply Claudia would laugh. Her laughter was something else. 😁. Rest in peace, my friend.
