Suspected drowning incident in Wesley claims lives of two foreign nationals

Two Chinese nationals have been confirmed dead in a suspected drowning incident in the northern part of Dominica. The incident occurred on the evening of June 1, 2024.

According to information received from Police Inspector, Fixton Henderson, the Dominica police have commenced an investigation into the deaths of the two foreign nationals whose bodies were recovered at sea in the Palm Tree area of Wesley on the evening of Saturday the 1st of June 2024. The victims were pronounced dead by the district medical doctor shortly after their bodies were recovered from the water by members of the Fire & Ambulance Services.

The CDPF has expressed its sincere condolences to the families, friends and foreign colleagues of the deceased.

    Really sad! We all should be particularly careful when sea bathing. The sea has been a watery grave for many.
