Suspicious death of 19-year-old sparks investigation in Antigua and Barbuda

The police in Antigua and Barbuda are conducting an investigation into the tragic death of 19-year-old Joyleen Abraham, a national of Guyana.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear, prompting law enforcement to seek assistance from the public.

Reports indicate that on Wednesday, May 7, shortly after 5 PM, Joyleen Abraham allegedly jumped from a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Victor Ince, a resident of Lightfoot West. This incident took place along a by-road leading from New Winthorpes toward the Jabberwock Main Road.

Authorities responded to the scene where they discovered Abraham’s body lying motionless on the southern side of the roadway, exhibiting multiple injuries. A medical professional pronounced her dead at approximately 6:30 PM.

Victor Ince, the driver of the vehicle, is currently in police custody and is assisting with the ongoing investigation. The police have also seized the vehicle involved in the incident, which has been transported to Police Headquarters for further forensic analysis.

In light of the situation, the Police Administration is reaching out to the community for assistance. They are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses pertinent information to come forward.
