No travel-ban list says US State Department

The US State Department has made it clear that there is no travel ban list being considered by the Trump administration as it was widely reported within the past few days.

However, according to spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, there is a review to examine what will keep the US safer when it comes to the issuing of visas for those who want to visit the country.

“Well, first of all, there is no list,” she said. “What people have been looking at over the last several days is not a list that exists here and is being acted upon. There is a review, as we know through the president’s executive order, to look at what will help keep America safer when dealing with the issue of visas and who’s allowed into the country.”

The matter was first reported by the New York Times which said that a draft list of 43 countries, divided into three groups, was developed by US diplomatic and security officials.

Dominica and a number of Caribbean countries were placed in a group with the color yellow which were being considered for a partial suspension of US visas if their governments “do not make efforts to address deficiencies within 60 days.” If they did not comply, they could be moved onto one of the other lists.

It was also reported by the Reuters news agency which actually said that it saw the draft memo of the list.

The report sent shock waves across the world, including the Caribbean where speculation was rife that the countries were being targeted because of their Citizenship by Investment (CBI) programs.

Antigua and Barbuda formally requested an explanation from the US via a diplomatic note while the governments of Dominica, St Lucia and St Kitts and Nevis said they were seeking further clarification.

As of Thursday, March 19 there has been no reaction from the New York Times or Reuters.

“What has been touted as something by the State Department simply isn’t the case,” Bruce stressed.

It is not impossible for New York Times, Reuters and other disinformation outlets take a news story and completely change it to suit their political agenda. No wonder .

If there was no list and no consideration for banning countries on the list, why then is the
Antigua and Bahamas governments changing the arrangement they have with Cuba for paying the Cuban doctors and nurses working in those countries?

That’s typical of this big orange blob (wannabe gangster) now occupying the Whitehouse who thinks he can bully anyone. Once he see people stand up to him he folds embarrassingly licking his wounds. Another four years of this. I’m running out of popcorn already.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 3 Thumb down 5

So where we get that list from? Are you saying that with no list means that Dominicans are free to check our vibes? “and that 60 days to address concerns” is nonsense that we should ignore and we will be processed normally like before? because that is basically what you are saying, even though we all know that is not the case woman.
