Sir, You cannot have a “Christmas Message” without mentioning Sin. The Sins of mankind was what caused the Almighty Father to send His Son to be born of a woman and then to give His life on the cross as the only sacrifice God would accept for the forgiveness of our sins. An ordinary man could not have died for the Sins of the World because all men are Dirty Sinners. Jesus Christ was the only Sinless person to ever walk this earth.
Therefore, a Christmas message must be about the purpose of Jesus Christ birth. We can do all the good and goodwill to one another ( which is good). But let’s not use good works to bypass the repentance of our sins which only Jesus Christ can forgive. Our one and only passport to heaven and eternal life is the Blood of Christ. Sin was cast out and sins will not enter into the Kingdom of God. “When I see the Blood 🩸 I will pass over you.” We need that precious blood which He shed on the cross to wash our sins away. This is the Glad Tidings of Christmas.
Charles would have been a good priest if that’s what Christmas means to him. These are the sweet words echo by “spiritual leaders” who themselves have drifted from the essential purpose of the birth of Christ. The Angels said His name shall be called Emanuel; meaning: God with us. Today, because of the way we live is an indication that there’s no God. No Emanuel. Again, Mary was told by the Angel that His name shall be called “Jesus”. Why is that? “ For He shall save His people from their Sins. Thus, the name of Jesus means Savior.
The folks who religiously give out their “Christmas messages” year after year, have they themselves gotten the message of Christmas? It’s so clear of a message that folks are simply making light of it. But the fact of the matter is that, it’s an extremely serious message which many have ignored and keep ignoring. Jesus Himself said, “I come to seek and to save sinners” them who are lost. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life, you are lost.
