The Dominica Labour Party (DLP) has revealed its new candidates who will contest the upcoming general elections.
The candidates were revealed at a meeting held on the Windsor Park Sports Stadium Forecourt on Tuesday night.
The new candidates are as follows:
Roland Royer- Cottage Constituency
Lakeyia Joseph – Paix Bouche Constituency
Julian Defoe- Petite Savanne Constituency
Miriam Blanchard- Roseau North Constituency
Dr. Cassandra Williams- La Plaine Constituency
Lynsia Frank- Salisbury Constituency
Daren Pinard- Colihaut Constituency
Fenella Wenham- Portsmouth Constituency
Daren Lloyd- St Joseph Constituency
Cassanni Laville- Mahaut Constituency
The new candidates will join the returning candidates who include:

Gregory Riviere- Marigot Constituency
Fidel Grant- Wesley Constituency
Cozier Frederick- Salybia Constituency
Denise Charles- Soufriere Constituency

I cannot speak for the other constituencies but for the Cottage constituency from which I hail, this is certainly a candidate for a reset. I am sure with Roland Royer this backward and devisive politics which existed where dissenters were seen as enemies will be gone. Common sense leadership will be the order of the day, not insults and vilification. The Daniel family will finally get the respect they deserve for their unwavering support of the DLP even when there was practically no party to support.
After saying all of this, I want to add that this will only be the case if Dominicans allow there to be an election. My feelings about Royer’s selection as a candidate in no way reflect my feelings about the direction my country is taking. Teach Skerrit a lesson.
Sorry to burst your bubble but Reggie clearly stated that Roland is a placeholder! Reggie will be running things from his couch. Roland can only do what he skerrit and reggie wants. He is going to tarnish his reputation by joining the cabal. Im sure he thinks he will do things better but Reggie will not let him and cottage people will just stand by and watch including his Royer family mouton batalie style.
