oh all of a sudden you all do not encourage it . after you said that lin clown is allowed to be abusive and make all kinda excuse to allow it . now that i decide to do the same all of a sudden you all do not encourage it and claiming prosecution of the law?

well let me tell you this as long as he is allowed to continue being abusive i will be abusive as well. what is good for the goose is good for the gander.

ADMIN: We very much prefer polite speech but to allow for freedom of expression you must tolerate speech you actively dislike or disagree with.

Believe it or not (you can ask Lin clown yourself) not all Lin Clown’s comments are published. All the comments you see are the ones that make it through.

If you truly choose to emulate Lin Clown then several of your comments are likely to be deleted as well.

Additionally, it is not consistent to single out only Lin Clown for offensive comments many commenters (somewhere around 90%) including Fete, Ibo, DS, Meme, Man bites Dogs (the list can go on and on) would need to be censored to be consistent.

So don free speech is insulting people calling them whore and other derogatory names . You all lying threw u all teeth nothing about free speech there when I’m sure others who use derogatory language get their comments removed and then this lin clown gets to post whatever he or she wants . Stop hiding behind free speak and delete his comments because he is emboldened to post his derogatory comments.

ADMIN: “So don free speech is insulting people calling them whore and other derogatory names.”

Yes, freedom expression protects insults and derogatory comments if applied consistently.

You can criticize this speech (you have that right which is granted under freedom of expression) but everyone has the right to express critical opinions under our current law.

“You all lying threw u all teeth nothing about free speech there when I’m sure others who use derogatory language get their comments removed and then this lin clown gets to post whatever he or she wants .”

A quick scan of our comment section will show this is a false statement.

Many commenters of differing political persuasions use derogatory language in their comments ,at times to criticize DNO, – we choose to allow these comments in keeping with the principle of freedom of expression.

One example of speech that is not protected is defamation. We delete defamatory comments. You can learn more about our defamation laws here: https://dominica.gov.dm/laws/chapters/chap7-04.pdf

I am having a hard time taking you seriously. The foul and disrespectful comments coming from you if that is indicative of the attitude towards of all those opposed to Labour, Dominica is in a bad place. I must say Some UWP supporters sprout the same disrespect and crude behavior towards Labourites. The political atmosphere in DA has to change in order to foster an attitude of love for country, and respect for our fellow countrymen. That change in attitude has to start from the top. The political, religious and civic leaders have to take the lead. The social fabric in DA is deteriorating.. CHANGE IS NEEDED.

The theater is a step in the right direction.

A dedicated art studio should also be considered as an essential component of the upgrade. The studio could also serve for ceramics, video making and fashion design.

I might also add, a dedicated music room.

Creative spaces are as important, if not more so, than regimented classrooms.

All of these things were coming in the next financial year since 2007. They apparently added the new aesthetic elements to reflect the architectural design of the apartment blocks and health centers going up all over the place and called it new. Nothing really new or beautiful. For what it’s worth, at least something is happening, even though it is sixteen years later.

im sure if i go around calling people a “whore ” on your platform i will soon be blocked or none of my comments get posted

yet you are constantly letting this person post his vile hatefull comments on your forum. and you know that the majority of what he says goes against your values and standards posted in your disclaimer.

ADMIN: It is because we are doing our best to practice the ideal of free speech.

While we believe free speech is made possible by ,and therefore subject to the law, if we only published speech we agree with then that would not be free speech at all.

In practice free speech also includes speech we might consider revolting.

DGS is arguably the most prominent education and scholastic-sports institution in our country’s history. A true “national institution.” Even those of us who attended other high schools, looked upon DGS with admiration and sometimes…envy.

Again, even not being an alumnus, I long to see its return to prominence and glory days. Much deserved upgrade.
