Uncle Roosevelt’s bi-weekly story time, attended by those nodding creatures with long ears, generally referred to as ‘Dominican Journalists’. What a farce, what a nonsense!

Hardly any worthy information is garnered from these annoying, vacuous, Roosevelt’s newsless press conferences. The country is fed with evasive answers as Roosevelt is always thin on facts and specificity.

Here is one perfect example of Roosevelt’s classic ambiguity. He was asked when would he exit the palace where he is presenting residing. He retorted that sometime this year. The citizens who pay $64k every month cannot get a specific date. So it can be 31/12/2023. Deception at its best.

Let us be reminded that he promised to move out of the castle in June 2022. Nothing Roosevelt says is even remotely true. The man is a brazen, shameless, dirty, cold-blooded LIAR.

How old is that photograph of Roosevelt Skerrit in that headline may I ask. It has little semblance to the man I saw in the news conference yesterday. Certainly the dimples have disappeared and the weight is that of a corpulent man. Nothing wrong with that but please be honest and don’t feed us old photographs just to make the man look better. It has the opposite effect when set side by side with reality and does not do him any favours. Maybe he should stick to calypso judging on which he is a proclaimed guru apparently. As if he has not enough to do with running the country.

Skerrit, since you had to ‘say’ so much about the CBI, let me ask you a question: the Anichi Hotel was scheduled to be completed in 2019. According to the developer Alick Lawrence, the Hotel would bring many jobs and economic opportunities to the Portsmouth area. The people of Portsmouth were also promised that a portion of the revenues raised on behalf of the Anichi project would be used to build a resource center in the Chance area of Portsmouth. Today the incomplete hotel construction in Picard Portsmouth is an embarrassing eyesore.
The number of passports that the Anichi Hotel project has received thus far is unknown. In fact, the Roosevelt Skerrit administration’s policy is that the number of passports assigned to the CBI project developers is none of the citizen’s darn business. We also have no idea what these CBI funded projects cost. We, the citizens, demand that Skerrit accounts for all those passports and the persons he allocated them to, i.e. Raphael, Nassief, Lawrence…

Another ruin in Portsmouth thanks to that useless DLP government. Moroccan hotel, coffee factory, the remains of Ross and now the Anichi. What next? Perhaps the Kempinski, which doesn’t make any money. It’s only kept alive by selling more passports to meet the operating cost!

“A pathological liar, or nythomaniac, exhibits various symptoms of personality disorders such as narcissism and typically has no remorse. They may be ant-social and histrionic”.
Beware, such personalities believe in the veracity of their own lies and cannot help doing so.

Dominicans are more wicked than ever. So they don’t deserve to have anything better from the Good Lord but sunshine and rain. Skeritt is a whip sent to chastise them for their iniquity and sin. But it will get worse with or without Skeritt. Jesus is your answer but you have proudly and ignorantly refused Him. So keep blaming Skeritt. This man Skeritt is living happily and has your wealth in his hand and in his control. There is a God above which Dominicans have failed to acknowledge. Even your country (Dominica) has been given to foreigners and strangers while you sleep and wake in the pleasures of your Sins and immortality. You continue to howl and scream and blame Skeritt, but his ability to hear you or to feel your pain has been removed from him. He does not feel ashamed or embarrassed because he is a Pharaoh in total control to whip your behind. Speak to your wayward children, pray for them, turn to God and He will send deliverance. That the only solution for Dominica.

If I had not listened to the headline news of DBS radio this morning I would bash those journalists for attending what I refer to as Skerrit’s kindergarten rhyme session. But when the headline news on a Monday morning news on DBS is about the funeral service of a calypsonian who passed on New Year’s Day, it is clear that NOTHING is happening in Dominica and journalists are hungry to report to the people. No nothing wrong to inform the nation that a former calypso king during our carnival season was to be buried today but dear God that shouldn’t be the headline news on a Monday morning, especially just before the news a whole 3 minutes of the “ Now you know “ just before the news was about that same late calypsonian.
Skerrit’s press conference is following the same pattern of King Nebuchadnezzar, Sadam Husain the late Iraqi president, Kim Jong-un
Supreme Leader of North Korea, the president of Russia etc, where all attention is drawn on them. Skerrit is just seeking notice and shame…

I listened to every bit of it and to me it sounded more like PM pressing the press conference. Skerrit kept lying, ducking, avoiding, running away from questions and gave 2×2 answers. It’s good that the journalists were present so the world could hear the lies of Roosevelt Skerrit but to me if I were a journalist I wouldn’t waste precious time with Skerrit the Liar

I listened Roosevelt for half of an hour. Roosevelt long, meandering, pedestrian, evasive answers were just too monotonous. Why can’t he be concise. As a listener, his answers are so long and drawn-out that you most times forget the question that was asked of him. Added to this, the man is embarrassingly inarticulate. I counted the many ‘arm’ he said to the female reporter from DBS. I conservatively counted 130 times he mouthed that word.

Dominica needs to replace this hopeless imbecile with someone of sound character, coherent, discerning and convivial. He certainly lacks the mental acuity to be a leader of anything of success.

What exactly it is that you want me to tell Skerrit to say to make you happy? Let us be serious now because anything Skerrit says is a bag baloney. I want you to be happy always and, if you are happy, I am happy. Right now I am not happy because you are not happy.

Happiness comes from inside. You are making a fatal error by depending on other people and not yourself for your happiness. Take this as a lifelong lesson.

By the way, do you feel it’s your sacred duty to defend a most corrupt, sinful and uncaring despot as Roosevelt? Shame on you!

Ibo, people like him, clown, dog man and others have no shame. Their leaders, the CM, Austrie, Blackman etc. haven’t got an ounce of shame in their bodies either. Only greed, they are driven by greed. People like that are dangerous and without scruples.

The CM certainly is on a charm offensive at present. He even tells us what he had for breakfast, fruits and fruits and more fruits. You know why I know that he is telling lies, well, just look at the size of the man. One doesn’t put on that much weight eating fruits! I hazard a guess that he also had a good plate of eggs with a generous portion of caviar. Uncle Roosevelt’s story time, who does believe him???

How about some cornmeal porridge with peanuts for breakfast. That’s a good breakfast. Don’t you think so?

Only for people like you who can’t afford anything better without donations from your political hero. Stay out of here, Toilet Duck! He eats the most expansive delicacies from around the globe and his fanatic supporters eat his left overs from under the table.

I completely agree with you. He speaks at great length just stuttering hollowness. At these last two press conferences, Roosevelt utters trumpery while degrading the English language at the same time.

Here we had yet another dose of lies and spin. Once again Skerrit, we want independently audited CBI accounts from you, nothing more and nothing less. If you have nothing to hide, this should be a very easy thing for you to give us. Forget about the cricket nonsense, this is none of your business. Your business is being accountable to us!!!

The non-partisan media entities if they want to be taken seriously should demand from Roosevelt answers concerning transparency of critical issues of the country. They ask Lying Roosevelt to many cotton candy questions. There should be many more bribing questions.

The format of the questioning of Roosevelt has to change if he is to properly account for the country’s money and resources. They (media) ask one or two questions then take their seat.

In journalism, the first question is not the most important. It is the follow-up question(s ) when the person being questioned tries to be evasive.
