Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has made it clear to the public that, “nobody will be fired” from the Citizenship By Investment (CBI) Program.
His comments came following allegations that the US is investigating an individual associated with the CBI Program in Dominica.
However, the Prime Minister said there will be some promotions taking place within the program, “to allow some people to come in.”
“We are through a process of restructuring, so we are putting in additional staff at the CBI to deal with monitoring, to deal with reporting so that we can have a Division of Labour, we are bringing in new staff, additional staff, we are exposing our staff to more training, especially anti-money laundering training to satisfy both our internal requirements and external requirements,” he stated.
Skerrit continued, “I have read and heard views that the United States or some government s have written to say to fire this person, I have not received any such letters, or whispered to me in my ears or by Whatsapp, nothing at all from any foreign government.”
He added, “There will be some promotions taking place within the program and this will allow some people to come in…but nobody has been fired from the CBI Program at all.”
According to him, there is no basis for any argument for it nor a reason for this.
“We are beefing up because we have to deal with so many of the external entities on an ongoing basis, so we are increasing the management of CBI,” he stated.
He revealed that his government plans to bring in someone with tremendous banking experience and managing experience to help especially when the issue of compliance is concerned.
He further revealed that Coordinator of the CBI Program Emmanuel Nanthan will be elevated.
“People will be elevated and if somebody is elevated then somebody has to fill the position of he or she who is elevated,” Skerrit indicated.
For years Skerrit has said the CBI will not last forever.Every normal Dominican know that.For years the blue aholes has been saying America is watching.Parrots.The stupidity about these blue idiots is that,they are yet to understand the MAJORITY of Dominicans support Skerrit.Only fools talk about selling passports,the programme is Citizenship By Investment.Skerrit and the government cannot sell passports,and the majority of Dominicans know that.All Dominican passports are issued by the immigration department after filling out a passport form.That is why Dominicans do not listen to the blue bugs and their lies.

All Kerrit has ever done as PM is spend other people’s money while using these opportunities to enrich himself and pander to his ego. And Dominicans still vote for him. He is a lazy leader who has no vision for Dominicans who he sees as minimum wage service industry workers who are not deserving of a better future. Its neocolonialism and he is driving it.

The Peter Principle states that people are promoted until they reach a position where they are no longer competent; the Dilbert Principle (used in Dominica?) states that they are promoted because of their incompetence. Go figure!
As long as one belongs to the red party and worships Skerrit, one is good to go. I don’t believe that competence, experience or qualifications do come in to it. Blind obedience to Skerrit is what counts or in case of females, the face must fit and dare I say, other attributes as well.
CBI is good for us. Just be sure to target WATER and ELECTRICITY to keep the cost of living low and affordable, which will in turn attract foreign investment. Sounds simplistic but real.

Reading the rubbish written by Rijock it appears that the US government is afraid of Skeritt when they have to beg him to fire one of his top diplomats who as Rijock claims is involved in money Laundering on US soil. Why not just arrest him as they did the Antiguan diplomat that was arrested along with N G Lapseng.

However, there is a pregnant silence from Roosevelt when it comes to his exit from the multi-million dollar palace which he should have left eons ago. Talk about that!

As a matter of fact will the minister of National Security tell the nation where is this lagal matter in the pipeline? Fool me once, because that’s the only chance I’ll give you. The fact that “I’m-the-people” leader reacted to the story tells me that there isn’t smoke without fire. Before long this fire will burn white hot.I guess the information of the French authorities not being happy about Dominica’s facilitation of illegal entry into their territory isn’t true either. When will Skerritt and Blackmore inform the nation that they are addressing this scandal as well.
Dominicans are much too trusting especially in this post truth world. Roosevelt takes full advantage of this. This quote readily comes to mind of the trust between some misguided citizens and the Liar-in-Chief.

The government own CBIU web side says that H.E. Emmanuel Nathan has headed, not coordinated, the unit since Feb. 2015. Since this is the highest position in the CBI unit, what superior post would he be elevated to. Are we perhaps looking at our next President? It would give Mano immunity from prosecution, out of harm’s way, with Roosevelt Skerrit as his controller. Far fetched? Maybe but stranger things have happened.
Dominica relies on two industries, tourism and the sale of passports. Changes to the personnel dealing with the latter portends trouble for this industry.
How could a country that is so abundantly blessed with arable soil, an abundance of water and sunshine, a young labour force, unique physical landforms and rare species of plants for potential medicinal products be so desperately poor. Corruption, if you ask me.
The sale of passports to keep the country financially buoyant is unsustainable. Dominica needs a visionary leader to tap into the creativity and ingenuity of its people. LEADERSHIP is crucial.
