President Sylvanie Burton’s Charities Foundation hosts annual Christmas party

The President’s Charities Foundation Inc. announces the Annual Christmas Party scheduled for today, Saturday, December 9, starting from 1:00 pm at the State House Grounds. This occasion marks the first Christmas party hosted by Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton since her inauguration as President of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

The party has been thoughtfully designed to facilitate the attendance of children from all corners of the island. This year, two hundred and seventy-three (273) children from Dublanc to Massacre/Canefield were invited to participate in the event. The children will enjoy fun games and activities, receive gifts, and enjoy food and dancing. The foundation has taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of all attendees.

President Burton said, “As the President of Dominica, I feel a deep commitment to caring for the vulnerable, especially our children who are the most susceptible. In their vulnerability lies an innocence that needs nurturing and protection. That’s why we host our annual Christmas party -it’s more than just a celebration; it symbolizes our commitment to these children. It’s a day dedicated to them, filled with joy, laughter, and love. It’s our way of showing them that they are cherished and valued, not just by their families but by their nation as well. This event is a small part of our larger mission to care for the vulnerable in Dominica.”

The President’s Annual Christmas Party is an opportunity for children to come together and celebrate the joy of the season. The event will feature various activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, and a special visit from Santa Claus. A variety of food and drinks will also be available for the children to enjoy.

This event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. The foundation extends their heartfelt gratitude to The Chinese Embassy, Harris Paints (Dominica) Ltd., Mr. Phillip Lewis Johnson, HHV Whitchurch & Co. Ltd, Fine Foods Incorporated, Josephine Gabriel & Company Ltd., Springfield Trading Ltd., Raffoul & Company, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Blue and Green Economy, Local Government Department, Office Of Disaster Management, Dominica Air and Sea Ports Authority (DASPA), Government Information Service, DBS Radio, Kairi Fm, and the Dominica-American Relief and Development Association (DARDA).

The President’s Annual Christmas Party is a chance for the children of Dominica to come together and celebrate the joy of the season. It is a reminder of the importance of caring for the vulnerable and of the nation’s commitment to its children. President Burton and her Charities Foundation are proud to host this event and look forward to seeing the children of Dominica come together to celebrate the holiday season.

That’s ALL you all are capable of hosting, Siwo. All efforts are made to host Siwo but anything significant to alleviate the economy is doomed. All these Siwo cash could have built at least 2 stands at the Benjamin Park years ago. From captain to cook, USELESSES
