The public will soon be introduced to a communication initiative by the Social Services branch of the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Social Services in conjunction with the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
A statement from the Department outlined the aim of the initiative as raising awareness about the programs and services offered, and dispelling stereotypes and negative perceptions commonly linked to “Welfare.”
Ultimately, the objective is to improve public understanding and attitudes towards the Department’s efforts.
The official launch ceremony for the campaign is scheduled to take place on June 13, 2024, at the Department of Social
Services (located directly across from Flamboyant Hotel) from 9:00 a.m, to be followed by an Open House for the general public.
