The National Management Committee of the United Workers Party (UWP) –Team Dominica confirms the resignation of Honourable Lennox Linton from the Office of Political Leader of the UWP with effect from Friday 30th September 2022.
This selfless act by Honourable Linton has once again brought to the fore his personality as an inspirational Statesman committed to the growth and development of everyone who resides in the Nation State, as envisioned by him in his oftentimes repeated passionate, truthful and sincere statement that he wishes Dominica to be the best to work, live in and to enjoy life.
The Management Committee assures that the Party’s Constitutional Provisions shall be activated, which will trigger the process of electing someone to be the Party’s Political Leader. In the interim, Senator Francisca Joseph, Deputy Political Leader will assume the duties of Political Leader of the Party.
Honourable Lennox Linton continues to be the Parliamentary Leader of the Opposition and Parliamentary Representative of the Marigot Constituency.
Who would dare to swim among a shiver of hungry sharks? To support the remnants of the executive of this political party is like swimming among some of the most dangerous sharks and expect to survive unscathed.
The backstabbing, fierce infighting, and unending hypocrisy could never inspire confidence in any organisation. When people show you who they are, take warning. The actions of these human sharks are clear red flags. The UWP disorganization reminds me of shark infested waters. INALTERABLE, WORTHLESS HYPOCRITES!!!!!!!
The BACKSTABBING vipers of the UWP executive have literally handed over the country to the rogue, illegitimate Roosevelt. Can’t wait their turn. They have become prisoners of NOW.
Everyone of those present members of the executive should be voted out with immediacy for the party in the next ten years, to regain some semblance of legitimacy. They have ruined their own cause.
They have done irreparable damage to the image of the party. They cannot wish the debilitating consequences away no matter how hard they try.
Read their statement and then ponder on it for a second. They have described a man who they backstabbed as an angelic figure. Who observer even with a modicum of common sense would want to join a political party with dangerous rattlesnakes and scorpions.
I unapologetically despise them. I have not even an iota of respect for any of these colossal hypocrites.
So UWP they parliamentary leader and political leader so like the King in Saudi Arabia assigning the Prime Minister duties to Crown Prince MBS which is monarchy what type of leadership style the UWP was proposing under Linton?
He is not political leader but parliamentary leader of the opposition – does this mean that he has to be some kind of leader or what. He just can’t give up so he is still over everyone. The interim leader is a senator and he is parliamentary leader he is till callong shots.
Seems like based on this crap Dominica should look very closely as the constitution in terms of the Senator being deputy leader of the party and not assigning this to a member with a constituency.
What is this arrangement called? We are charting new territory. Assuming Fontaine is leader political what happens in parliamment for the opposition. Confusion this is what this is. Pulling wool over people’s eyes.

They are falling down one by one without even being touched. These guys have no backbone. Skerrit remains a force to reckon with.
Some misguided supporters of the UWP think that Mr. Linton should have done more to obtain more support numerically for the party.
This is an almost an unattainable task when one listens to some electors who give their unwavering support to the ruling autocracy. For example, Lang Sal, who revealed that he has voted Labour all his life, deserves to make the Guinness Book of Records for his stupidity. He posited that you have to drown first before you could start living.
My argument is simply this. With this sort of most asinine think ing how could you convince him to change his self injurious political support for the DLP.
These people are not normal beings. No rational persuasion can change their minds.
I had promised to go incognito but had to break this promise after reading this carefully and eloquently written script by the National Management Committee of the UWP.
Here they are showering the most superb commendations on Mr. Lennox Linton after members of the said executive of the party have just taken underhanded methods to unceremoniously oust him from leadership.
This clearly revealed to me that the present UWP construct is comprised of self-centred, bombastic, untrustworthy, shady characters.
This one act of duplicity and treachery by a small group of naked ‘ insurrectionists’ is a self-inflicted near fatal wound for the UWP.
It’s not that Mr. Linton is superior to any other party member for he is not indispensable. The clandestine and surreptitious manner in which this duly elected leader was forced to resign says volumes about the UWP and its manipulative members of its executive. Backstabbing doesn’t win confidence nor stronger support.
UWP said nothing in this so called statement. They messed it up again as they have always done whenever an opportunity is presented. Here they are bugging up Mr Linton for his selflessness but as a supporter of Mr Linton what I heard in his resignation statement I didn’t see selflessness. It’s clear that Mr Linton didn’t take one for the team. In fact although he is my favorite politician it is clear that Mr Linton sent many punches at the party. Even if it was true that he was backstabbed and pressured from within there was no need to say that to the public.
We would have been in a much stronger position if management of UWP and Linton had ironed out things before and then UWP and Mr Linton called a press conference where Mr Linton would resign and together identify a potential leader. With the nonsense of Mr Linton on Monday where he exposed UWP. What they all did is a big mess and all I can do is hope and pray that God helps us out in Dominica

As a strong supporter of both UWP and Mr Linton I must say that I am very disappointed in the way they all handled this thing.
I noted that no one signed this letter which lives me to wonder what’s really happening inside.
Although it was heartbreaking when I first heard of the resignation of Hon Lennox Lincoln on Nature Island news on Saturday I was hoping he or the UWP would come back to assume us of a smooth transition. However that was not the case as Monday while listening to the hot seat on Q95, Matt announced that Mr Linton was going to make a statement at 8:30 on his face book. As soon as I heard it was on FB and not on Q95 I knew trouble was ahead. Then Matt played a clip of one of Mr Linton’s key supporters and when I heard what he said I can tell you I was crushed. Then Mr Linton came talking about enemies from within backstabbing him was just the knockout punch.
If only everyone behaved like adults we would look good as a party and would offer hope. But you guys…

Honorable Lennox Linton is a good man despite the continuing efforts of the DLP to destroy his good name.
Senator the Honorable Francisca Joseph like every other member of Team Dominica UWP has leadership potential so there is no rush to elect a new leader until the party’s delegates conference.
Honorable Lennox Linton continuing to serve out his term of office as Parliamentary Representative for Marigot and Parliamentary Leader of the Opposition until his term of office ends is a good decision and confirms his willingness to establish a two term policy if elected to government
