The Alternative Peoples’ Party (APP) takes the opportunity to congratulate the people of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis for holding successful democratic general elections on June 5, 2020.
We commend Dr. Timothy Harris and Team Unity for their triumph at the polls, and also congratulate and recognize Dr. Denzel Douglas and the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party for participating, and securing elected presence in the peoples’ parliament of St. Kitts and Nevis.
It is our intention to forge working relationship with regional and international political parties, both in and out of government, and APP looks forward to such engagements with our brothers and sisters in St. Kitts and Nevis in the near future. We hope that the spirit and process of unity will bring all hands and minds together in the interest of the people, as election campaigns can be a very divisive periods.
Let us remember that we are one region and we are each other’s keeper, so APP stand ready and willing to play our role in the coming together of the region in more meaningful ways. The people of St. Kitts and Nevis – like Dominicans – have similar realities, we share a common space and parallel passions for progress.
In that light, APP sees the new parliamentary term in St. Kitts and Nevis as an opportunity for greater partnership among parties of interest in Dominica and the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. We believe that there can be an agricultural trade and commerce arrangement between our countries; we need to support and trade with each other, and APP has ideas on the way forward.
We stretch our hands of friendship on the strength of our party’s motto: People Together, Working for One Another. We are simply too small for us not to come together and work for one and other. Congratulations once more

Better than the U$A can do!
BATTY BOO,there was no Dominica after Maria.Everything you see in Dominica NOW was put there by the DLP and DLP supporters.You and your LAZY kind are living off the BLOOD,SWEAT and TEARS of the DOMINICA LABOUR PARTY.Dominicans are SMART hence the 18-3 defeat.No other party,collision or not can win DLP for the next 20 years.DFP is finished,headed by Mr.Assumption,and APP and UWP are the same,halves of the same.
The APP should firmly establish themselves before dabbling in regional politics. You have not put forward a full slate of candidates. The present executive of your party is unknown to the vast majority of the electorate. Your party’s philosophy is nebulous at best.
The victorious Team Unity in St. Kitts – Nevis is a coalition government of three (3) distinct political parties. They had to join forces and pool resources to oust a twenty (20) year old corrupt regime of Dr. Dense-ill Douglas.
The solution in DA is to do the same. Team Unity has created the blueprint.
Collectively, my people can do likewise. More political parties mean a splintering of the support for those who wish to see the demise of the nakedly corrupt Skerrit and his plasticine entourage. Come together, join forces to see Dominica soar again and become the envy of the Caribbean.
I listened on Friday evening, June 12th 2020, to one of the members of that APP when she was asked the question about forming a coalition with the DFP, a suggestion thought of by Vital leader of the DFP,. Her answer was in the positive and her reasoning was nothing different than that of the UWP and the DFP. To get rid of Skerrit and the government. She spoke of ALL the negative things she could think of but never ever came with a solution of how THEY (APP) would help solve and better the things she made mention of. All she did was a set of critics and this is exactly what the UWP and the DFP does. This APP party is the third arm of the UWP and is already drifting away from what THEY claim to be.
They better be careful because people are watching and listening because if their objective is to get rid of Skerrit and his government, THEY have already started on the wrong footing because the harder THEY come the heavier and quicker THEY gonna fall.
Don’t talk nonsense. Skerrit and the DLP are on their final term. Up until now he at least had money to buy votes but the kitty is empty now! I mean he never had the citizens of this country anything else to offer but bribery. Look around you, what has this man achieved in 18 years. Nothing, at least nothing positive! They only thing he has achieved is to divide the population and the people are poorer now then when he came in as PM. Some achievement that is!!!!!!
