Antigua and Barbuda sending defence force to Haiti to restore order

Gaston Browne

Antigua and Barbuda has announced its decision to send a military contingent to Haiti to help restore law and order in the country. The Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force (ABDF) will be joining Jamaica and The Bahamas in supporting Kenya’s plan to deploy a security force in Haiti.

The decision was taken following a meeting last Friday at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

Kenya intends to send 1,000 security personnel to Haiti, backed by a $100 million fund from the United States. According to a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), there has been no determination yet on how many members of the ABDF will be dispatched to Haiti.

However, the OPM highlighted the commitment of Prime Minister Gaston Browne to finding a solution to the problems facing Haiti. Browne presented at the UNGA and voiced concerns over the increasing dominance of gangs and the consequent human rights crisis in Haiti.

Browne emphasized the urgent need for a comprehensive, coordinated intervention that concurrently restores governance, security, and the rule of law while resolving the humanitarian needs. He also stressed the need for a broad-based transitional government to provide necessary leadership with external assistance to restore order and bring lasting peace and prosperity to the Haitian people.

Let me tell you something you no name …….; you do not know me in any way except by name as seen on DNO, I am not a fake! So you run your mouth off about Francois-Dominique Toussaint L’Ouverture as if that is a mystery to me; what does being a Haitian general during the Haitian Revolution have to do with Haitians, slaughtering their very own people in the streets of Haiti in the 21st Century?
If you asks me the man was indecisive.
Seems to be confused: he first fought against the French; then he fought for them fought; and then against them for the cause of Haitian independence, he may be one who sold Haiti to the devil!
You do not know my heart ‘Sprite’ so how can you conclude I am loveless, whatever that implies; how can you talk such nonsense about someone you have no clue of the persons characteristics.
If your idea is that I hate Haitians; check Haiti for Telemaque, you will find Thelemaque, they are one of the same, as the white ones in Denmark spells it also!
    Shut up

Nice piece of family history, but it’s not just about you or the violence. Those countries know exactly how to destabilize another, they been at it for hundreds of years. Your writing profile, sentiment has been anti-Black, anti-African, anti-Haitian, and that’s the expectation of the victors that indoctrinate us using the media to shape our views and education system to lock it in. We have to look to our Ancestors for African history, there’s so much we do not know. They have researched and corrected most of the lies fed to us thru this misinformation. The Jews have their ancestors that they emulate, so do Hindus, Buddhists, Euro-christians. We need to have ancestors that we emulate! You and I we must so that we don’t keep arguing amongst ourselves.

It’s all a set up what they did to Haiti, and now to make it look like it’s not them, they are standing aside and finance it just as they do in Africa.

I,m happy to be back after my extended hiatus. I,ve read and listened to the unfortunate incidents unfolding in Haiti over the years and especially at this time in their history. I welcome the intervention of Kenya, Antigua, Bahamas and Antigua; it just maybe a case of “to little to late” where is the rest of CARICOM isn’t a part/member of that organization. The “star boy of Stupidity” and self proclaimed savior of Dominica and the rest of the Region is clearly, notably absent from this exercise; i wonder why. For those of us who are not versed about the history of Haiti, just hold back your silly comments.

And how much is Gaston Browne getting under the table in return for sending Antigua’s finest off to die in a foreign land?
There will be weeping and wailing in the streets of St. Johns when these boys start coming home in body bags. Totally unnecessary!
Leave it alone! Make love, not war!
Haitians need to sort themselves out. They don’t want outsiders sticking their stinky noses into their affairs either!

Gaston will not even be able to feet his so called defense force in Haiti:

The only nation in the Caribbean with what loks like a defense force; and could help is Trinidad & Tobago!

The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force is made up of four distinct arms; The Regiment/”Army” (TTR), the Coast Guard (TTCG), the Air Guard (TTAG) and the Defence Force Reserves (TTDFR), which all fall under the authority of the Ministry of National Security.

The Trinidad and Tobago Regiment is the main ground force element of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force. It has approximately 10,000 men and women organized into a Regiment Headquarters (located in Port of Spain) and four battalions. There is also a Volunteer Defence Force that has been renamed the Defence Force Reserves.

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is the combined military of Jamaica, consisting of an infantry Regiment and Reserve Corps, an Air Wing, a Coast Guard fleet and a supporting Engineering Unit. The JDF is based upon the…

So much about the actual and specific purpose of this “security force” is still vague and yet to be clarified . What does the term imply really as per their expected role?. Is it a peacekeeping mission which would restrict any active engagements with the heavily weaponised gangs; or is it to augment the Haitian police and military as a whole? If the latter, then this would necessitate intervention and consequently deadly firefights with the ruthless and ferocious militant gangsters who may be even become more embolded in their aggressiveness, at the sight of foreign troops introduced to dislodge them from their acquired turf. Have Caribbean leaders thought this out well? Will the Kenyan military be well able to gel, interact and coordinate with their Caribbean counterparts? Does Dominica have any defence force similar to B’dos, The Bahamas, Antigua and Jamaica? This situation is a boiling cauldron. Police ARE NOT SOLDIERS!

I applaud the commitments of Kenya, Antigua, Jamaica and the Bahamas. My question is where is Dcas commitment? We boast of having one of the best trained SSU in the region because of how they daykarkay and forever silence Bawi (not Marigot) people so its time to put their viciousness and expertise in action and shalveeway those gangs messing around in Haiti. We don’t need them now so send everyone of them that like green uniform to Haiti. Let them poopoo on them. The regular policemen can do the work at home until then.

St. Kitts and Barbados also have defense forces so I look forward to then joining the fray. Leave the Lucians and Vincies behind because as soon as a child say BOW with his mouth they will lay down and play dead. I just wish men like Butcha, Wayne and Hypo were still on the force to go out there and make us proud.

Butcha and others were in Haiti mid-nineties used by George Bush & Biden, so it’s not a matter of being bad, is how many AR-15 the U.S gun manufacturers can sell. This is bigger than that. Western countries have put everything in place to ensure the current situation.

They need you to call them back in, and using the UN they will. You have to stand in solidarity with the Haitian People because this has been carefully orchestrated to render Haiti a failure (they created from installing papa doc to today) for being the 1st to abolish slavery of African People.
Just think, they have already started to pay reparations to Ukraine. Chase and Haliburton (or the other one) Blackrock already building back Ukraine worth hundreds of $billions, conveniently can’t locate $6 billion – wink wink – sent to Ukraine in March. Yet they can’t find any funds nor support to pay reparations for the worst holocaust ever imposed on humankind, the African holocaust they still benefit from.
      We need to stay focused!

I must say kudos to Antigua Jamaica, Kenya and Bahamas. we are our brothers Keeper. Too long we blame the white man for Haiti problems. Yes they have a major part of it. Yet, we keep asking these same folks to fix the problem. we have to start solving our own problems on our terms. Africa has to look out for its stolen and abused children we have to start building back our people to respectability. I think the African union should take part. YES WE CAN!!!!!

As the current Chair of CARICOM, shouldn’t the Dominica PM be the bellwether for the Caribbean Community and showcase Dominica’s stature and leadership role? “I run things in Dominica” he once boldly proclaimed on a political platform. One hopes he can channel that same energy to “run things” in CARICOM during his chairmanship. The madam boasts of her foot soldiers, snipers, and navy seals. Dude Francisco, read elsewhere besides CNN, BBC & mainstream media. They always steer your searches toward their narrative. It’s all over non-mainstream media, even military youth in Niger read about it and did something for the people.. kids today know what happened to Haiti by the bullies that invaded, installed their choice for 60+ years to deliver resources of Haiti, stole millions in exchange for not invading them again, that didn’t work. But most of all punished by France, Spain and America for being the 1st to abolish slavery of African People.

Many of us knew it, even Biden who once said he wouldn’t mind if Haiti sank to the bottom of the Atlantic. Don’t just sit there following mainstream media state opinions, it’s all smoke and mirrors.
You write a lot, so do something for your People with your time my friend, you probably don’t know it but you are being used to fulfill their mission – change course. Sounds kinda impersonal, but don’t think I’m yelling.

Right where you are in Cali the racists have been hanging your Black people in trees for years. Burning tires are very wicked, inhumane, but fade in comparison. Not long ago those that indoctrinated/trained you have been legally lynching your people as major events (still legal in some states) with yt people bringing the kids, their cooler full of refreshments, folding chairs, take samples of the burning man’s body parts home. It’s still going on but you won’t see nor hear it in their media where you get your info from. Florida governor is now trying to go back to the days when the wyts fed Black babies to alligators.

If that is a response to my comments about black Haitians setting live Black Haitians on fire while they are yet alive; I suspect only a fool could deduce that.

Therefor I decline to dignify the comments of a fool with a response; for the fool cannot comprehend anything that is not conceive and developed in the fool’s mind only!
