Antigua and Barbuda’s Police Commissioner Atlee Rodney has denied claims of any misconduct on the part of a senior police officer surrounding ongoing investigations into fraud-accused Mehul Choksi.
A Financial Crimes Investigator Kenneth Rijock made allegations against Choksi which implicated local police in an article posted in the Economic Times in India last week.
Rijock made serious claims against the Indian-born businessman who is at the centre of a fraud scandal in his native land.
However, Rodney said in a statement to the media that the information by the investigator is false.
According to Rodney, the entire blog written by the investigator has a malicious purpose and ought not to have been posted.
The Commissioner made it clear in his report that the Police Force has no interest in assisting Choksi in avoiding extradition from Antigua and Barbuda as alleged by Mr. Rijock, and, in any event, has no power to do so.
In the article, Rijock claims that a police inspector has met multiple times with Choksi at a Jolly Harbour restaurant for illicit purposes.
However, Rodney said only two engagements have been held between Choksi and the inspector.
“The Commissioner made it clear in his report that the Police Force has no interest in assisting Choksi in avoiding extradition from Antigua and Barbuda as alleged by Mr. Rijock, and, in any event, has no power to do so.”
Exactly, because he is now a citizen of Antigua through their CBI program and extraditing him would heavily and severely compromise their program, hence why they kidnapped him, tortured him, blindfolded him and brought him to Dominica with the knowledge of Dominican authorities, hoping we would have extradited him as he is not a citizen here. Thats why the jet was ready and waiting to have him picked up at Melville Hall. But the plan was foiled. In the end the Dominican public found out and started asking questions. Liars, murderers and thieves in cahoots. Sad part is they are our leaders.
