The Caribbean Science Foundation (CSF) will be hosting its second annual Caribbean STEM Olympiads (CSO) on 17 – 21 January, 2024. The CSO is a regional competition aimed at promoting science popularization thereby contributing to STEM education reform initiatives in the Region. Individual competitors and teams from schools, clubs and associations will compete at three different age levels for medal certificates and cash prizes in the following three events:
(a) CSF Math Olympiads
(b) CSF Computer Coding Games
(c) CSF Robotics Showcase
Students from the English-speaking Caribbean between the ages of 12 and 21 are encouraged to apply to the CSO. Detailed information on the CSO events and the application form can be found at caribbeanscience.org/cso/.
The application deadline is 27 December 2023.
To aid in preparation for the 2024 Caribbean STEM Olympiads (CSO), the Caribbean Science Foundation CSF will be hosting four Informational Sessions for interested persons. The sessions are scheduled for 7:00 pm AST on the following dates:
- Wednesday, 08 November 2023
- Monday, 27 November 2023
- Sunday, 10 December 2023
- Wednesday, 20 December 2023
These sessions will:
- Provide more information on the events of the Olympiads
- Give clarification on the rules, entry requirements, the judging process, and more
- Allow interested persons to ask questions and raise concerns
