The memories of my personal interactions with Chris I will hold very dear. He had some very great aspirations that he shared with me. This young man emerged from a turbulent pass to pursue a transformative life by the redemptive power of Jesus Christ as he testified. He struggled with some apparently lingering challenges but was yet a very determined fighter. What circumstances led to this, his violent and tragic demise is truly mind boggling. My heart is immensely saddened and I’m still trying to process that shocking news. I plead the grace of God upon his surviving young family .
Remember just a year ago we were on a bus trip with the Church. You were the one I interacted with the most.I remember you testified of you past life and you complained not getting the support you needed..I understood your struggles.we all do have a past and struggle to maintain a godly life.I know you fought a big battle.Anyhow Chris RIP Cousin..Only God knows..I pray the murderers be caught and brought to justice.
Heart-felt condolences to the relatives, friends and acquaintances of the dearly deceased brother. Words cannot accurately expressed my feelings for yet another senseless lost of a youthful life. Our young males have become victims to these too frequent shootings. Yes, this young man, at one point in his life, chose the wrong path. However, he redeemed himself and fought a good fight to stay on the straight and narrow roads. Don’t know what transpired to cause his unnatural demise. I leave all judgment unto God. Too many of us are so quick to judge and stubbornly refuse to give a person who tried so desperately to amend his ways a second chance. None of us is perfect, no not one.
Another childhood friend and family lost. From what I know, he was truly trying to turn his life around and use his earlier mistakes to motivate the youths so that they could avert the path that he took. No one deserves to die in such fashion. My deepest condolences to the rest of the family and friends. Only God knows better. R.I.P Chris. See you on the other side.
What you could do is continue to help him by talking to the youth and letting then understand the life they choose can come back haunt so be good and do something positive with thier lives. Work hard take advantage of opportunities and respect everyone.
Chris , you were an awesome soul . You were a motivator , mentor and positivist . I will forever remember your encouraging conversations of repentance , forgiveness and reformation . You were passionate about seeing young marginalized men reformed to find their God-driven purpose in life . You were a good man . I don’t know why you were murdered but I do believe in your last Facebook post which said , ” I’m looking up to the heavens ” posted April 30 and May 1 , You seem to have gone to that heaven . Chris , at least your positive words are echoing in my ears all day long and they will be for the rest of my life . Rest in peace bro . Spoke to you on Sunday afternoon and You disappeared on Monday . You were indeed a good-hearted spirit who used your tough past to light up a brighter future and generation . Chris , enjoy heaven !
It sure seems like there is an apparent opened season on such a demise on the life of Dominicans abroad in the Caribbean.
Did the Government make a statement in the incident in Anguilla? I hope they will find it necessary to vociferously express that this crime be investigated.
RIP – Bro. We all in Possie will applaud the effort you made to fight the battle you fought.
Too much of our citizens mostly our young men are being killed or murdered in other caribbean islands , There’s nothing much I can comment on as we do not know what happened. My condolences to the bereaved families
I as well hope that our Government properly investigates these series of crimes going on in the Caribbean amongst our people.
Regards
